I visited Larca this past weekend with my family. For some unknown reason, the security alarm rang when my son entered the entrance. The security guard correctly asked my son to reenter as we waited inside. This happened several times, each time the alarm rang after my son removed something until he stood only in his shorts and t-shirt. Rather than simply do a manual check, the security guard’s answer was to not allow entry. This was ridiculous, as there was obviously no reason for concern since we hadn’t yet even really entered the actual store. The security guard correctly assumed that perhaps my son’s pants might have a security patch that was never removed after the sale, but would still not allow entry! I should also mention that the Larca security system only checks for security patches on its products, not for firearms or drugs like at an airport. Imagine if airport security would not allow a passenger to pass security because of an alarm? If an alarm sounds, security conducts a manual check (for many things) and ultimately the passenger can proceed and board the airplane. He is not told that he cannot fly! The inflexibility of the security guard is totally unacceptable and there was no reason for concern since we were entering the store. We had planned on purchasing about €400 of products (sleeping bags, shoes, clothing, etc.). I was a very loyal customer who had purchased at least €500 of products at Larca within the past 6 months. I will not return to Larca again. Larca should learn from other stores and industries to be more flexible and customer oriented. It is my hope that Larca management takes full responsibility for their actions and does not pass this incident on to security staff who was probably only doing as instructed from higher management.

A large variety of outdoor gear for the entire family. Top brands with top quality. But the prices aren't that low like what they list on their merchandise. We've been Larca Fans for over 24 + years. (when they first started) They had a smaller selection and prices were much better. Kind of a bummer that their expansion also reflex on the higher prices.....:+/ Same employees... always friendly and helpful. Place is clean, and easy to park.

A lot of stuff for sports. Missing some Scandinavian brands such as patagonia, Houdini etcetera. Some more news would also be cool! Other than that, a well equipped store.

Another sad example for a place openly discriminating people with health restrictions as they refuse to accept certain medical certificates at will. This makes it even harder for many people suffering from certain health issues to participate in some ordinary daily life and I doubt people responisble for this understand how this harms underprivileged humans. A woman that could not wear a mask was thrown out of the store right before my eyes in a rather rude way, she asked to speak to the supervisor to explain her situation but this was denied. Puzzeled by this scene I left the store to hopefully never return.

It is good place for shopping outdoors staff, i like what they have almost it is my taste, but bit expensive because the have brand marks

Before you head to other shops in stuttgart for an active holiday.... make a visit here for a some good deals and variety.
