After a pleasant initial phone call and a consultation arranged at very short notice, I purchased a Cannondale gravel bike here (in Gomaringen). The owner and staff gave me a very warm welcome and provided highly competent advice. Everyone took plenty of time, and I was able to test ride the bikes I was considering extensively. It's important to me to have a personal contact who can quickly address any issues with the bike, and I believe I've found that here!

I stopped by the shop briefly for advice on repairs, but was more yelled at than given advice. Courteous customer service is something else entirely. I don't know much, but that's precisely why I use a repair shop and want to be taken seriously. (If everyone knew, the shop wouldn't have any customers for repairs either, so why not be friendly?) I won't be coming back!

Excellent service, excellent team. Appointments are available even at short notice. Here, problems are solved, not for maximum price, but with customer satisfaction in mind. Top-notch guys, keep it up!

Is it because I'm not a woman???? I needed a thru-axle for my bike and wanted to ask if the shop had them. When I wanted to enter the shop at 1:15 p.m., the first thing I saw was the sign on the door that said "OPEN," which means: open! So I went in, where I was immediately greeted by the smell of kebabs. An employee was sitting to the left of the entrance and, with his mouth full, he taciturnly informed me that it was lunchtime. On my heels, I changed direction, went to the door, which, mind you, wasn't locked and was also marked with the OPEN sign, and left the shop. After sitting in my car for a few minutes to check my emails, a customer walked in who was obviously being served. It may be a bit petty, but this kind of thing really annoys me! I'll just take my money somewhere else...

Owner's response

Dear Mr. Lengerer

Please accept our apologies for forgetting to turn the "Closed" sign! We will be sure to remember this in the future.

I can also reassure you that it wasn't because you're not a woman!

Our customer was probably just stopping by briefly to pick up or drop off her bike. We offer our customers the service of dropping off or picking up their bikes during our lunch break, provided they request it and make an appointment.

Regarding the smell of the doner kebab:

Unfortunately, the smell of any food is unavoidable.

However, we also need to eat lunch to be able to get through the work. I will, however, reprimand my employee for speaking to you with his mouth full and suggest he open the window during his lunch break in the future.

If you'd like to give us another chance, I'd be happy to treat you to a doner kebab or a coffee and assist you with any issues you may have.

Sincerely, Kai Thoma, Owner of Bikedreams & Dustbikes

In my opinion, Dustbikes is the best bike shop in Rottenburg when it comes to repairs and service. Whether it's a road bike, enduro, or e-bike, they know their stuff! If you're looking for a large selection of new bikes, you're in the wrong place; you'll have to go to bikedreams in Tübingen. There you'll find expert and honest advice and top-notch service by and for cyclists.

It's a small shop with not a lot of bikes. Nevertheless, the guy is really knowledgeable and was super helpful. His prices for his services are also really fair; I would go back anytime.

A real expert is at work here. The problem was diagnosed quickly. Additional issues were also discovered and resolved after consultation. All at a very fair price. It's especially great that the mechanic takes the time to show you where the problem is and explains how to fix it.

The saying "small but perfectly formed" unfortunately doesn't apply here. In such a small shop with very little selection, I can at least expect it not to be so dirty and the salesperson not to lie to me so much. Never again!!!
