The children's bicycle was repaired quickly, which was fine, and I would have liked to leave a positive review. However, I also bought a kickstand and specifically asked about the price beforehand. To then charge an additional €18.80 for mounting a kickstand that costs €16.90 – which can be attached in a minute using two pre-installed screws – is ridiculous...

I've always had good experiences, especially with the workshop. Mr. Schneider is consistently exceptionally friendly, yet also professional and competent. He always has a solution for every problem. His colleagues are also good and really go the extra mile despite occasional staff shortages.

This is the best bike shop I have visited in Tübingen. I needed a part to fix my bike and I found a used part with them, they fixed my bike and didn't even take the money. Thank You So Much 👍👍👍👍👍

They don't accept your bike if you didn't buy it from them - even for small adjustments like adjusting the stem

Quick, kind & courteous (and delightfully free!) service fixing my Brampton bicycle saddle post that had become loose. The workshop is below the shop. As a result, I had a lovely day touring the Tübingen countryside. Thank you! Definitely a place to return to.

We spontaneously decided to check out the bikes there today. It was the perfect decision: We received excellent, detailed advice and information from the owner himself, were encouraged to take a long test ride, and could even borrow a helmet. The person waiting (me) was offered a coffee and informed about the free Wi-Fi. Fantastic! They also gave us plenty of time to consider our purchase and even offered a bike reservation. We ended up buying a bike today, and the price was very fair. Thank you for everything! Update: We even bought a second bike there, an e-bike. This has confirmed our positive experience: it's the best bike shop in Tübingen. The first inspection is free with every purchase.

Brought in an old/broken bike that needed some basic repairs. Technician was friendly and understood that I did not need a perfect/fully-repaired bike, just a bike that works. Price was very fair (~50 euros).

Reasonable price and good service. I think overall this is the best price/performance ratio bike shop in Tuebingen. I mean, they are not cheap nor expensive, but they do the great jobs and give lots of useful advise. Most young staffs one ground floor and one machinist speak good English, but even my German is terrible, they still help me a lot.

There was word in Tübingen that people in this bike shop were nice. Decided to go as bike was making a clicking sound when going uphill. Asked the guy to also ride it in case something else needed attention, as the bike wasn't used in a year, to which point he quoted a price of 65€!! 65€!!! When I asked him what was the reason he was asking this price, he was unable to explain, to which point I told him I am not paying 65€ so that he rides the bike for 1 minute to check if something is off. Just told him to address the clicking sound. Naively, I told him to repair as he thinks appropriate, for up to 100€. Two days later I went to collect the bike and was presented with a bill of 99.96€, for replacing the whole cassette in the rear and one of the front cogs. I asked them if they checked the brakes, told me "we have not touched them, it wasn't in the price". Bike now makes a different sound and brakes (a 3-second adjustment) weren't even checked. I feel that I have been ripped off and will never go here again, plus any people I know I will advice them against going here. This is no way to treat your customers and is not professional. You should be ashamed to run a business like this, I don't find my money on the street to just give you any ridiculous price you are asking. I would have appreciated to be treated fairly.
Owner's response
Dear customer,

we are sorry for the misunderstandings and feel bad for the poor service you received. The price of our whole bicycle check is 65€. The check includes a functioncontrol of the gearshifter, the breakes, the spoketension and the torque of the screws for the whole bike and other things there is a list for the check. But includes no spare parts. It is part of this check to identify what is going wrong with your bike. As you said the bike was not used in a year so for the coworker it is not just a thing of a minute to identify the clicking sound. Sounds on modern bikes with lots of parts that are moving are very difficult to locate. It is our responsibility to say what is wrong with your bike. So the 65€ for the check are for you to have the security with your bike is technically everything fine.We are sorry for the language skill problem and would be happy to welcome you in our store and find a solution that is all right for both of us. We wish you a nice day and hope to greet you soon again.
