October 9, 2024 - around 3:45 PM - I am 76 and need help. The person in the shop was smacking their lips, grumpy, disinterested, and unfriendly. I have never felt so disrespected. Service? This person has clearly never heard of it.

Guys, think a hundred times before you take your bike to this shop. I absolutely cannot recommend this repair shop. I dropped my bike off so they could check why the tires were losing air and fix it. After three weeks, they had done NOTHING. I went there four times during those three weeks to ask about the progress of the repair, and each time the man told me that his colleague was waiting for a spare part for my bike. Of course, he hadn't even ordered it. Because they hadn't even looked at my bike. I'm simply shocked! On the last day, I finally saw his colleague, who told me that he had been sick during those days. I had never heard of that before. Before that, they had talked about a part they had ordered for my bike. Then he lied and said he had called me once, but I never received a call. Especially since I had been there four times, and nothing was asked or investigated during those visits. He reacted aggressively to my questions about why it was taking so long. Finally, I picked up my bike and was left with nothing. Now I have to find another good garage. I will never set foot in that garage again!!!

Bad experience with this bike mechanic. The first time I went there to get my bike repaired, he told me he was busy and to come back the next day. I invested a lot of time in coming back the next day, only to be told "that's not my problem" without even trying to understand the problem with my bike. This behavior is completely unprofessional. I cannot recommend this bike mechanic to anyone.

I had a minor problem on a multi-day tour. The repair time for a workshop: 10 minutes. "Forget it, you'll just have to take the train." Thanks a lot. I can only recommend steer clear of this shop with its chaotic workshop (several bikes half-disassembled, but nobody's working on them).

"Friendly bike shop"? That's a joke. I needed a 5mm and a 6mm Allen wrench for the brakes and saddle of my bike. They refused to lend me the tools "because of bad experiences." "Besides, we're not allowed to work on bikes on the sidewalk" (Bavarian law?). My mention that I run my own bike shop back home was no use. They directed me to the bike rack at the subway station (see photos). Incredibly rude. Furthermore, I've rarely seen such a dump.

I was a frequent customer here between 2015 and 2018 and was generally very satisfied with the service. During the second-to-last repair, around 2018, the entire drivetrain on my road bike was replaced. The last repair involved fixing a broken spoke on the rear wheel and a pre-trip inspection for a 1000km Alpine crossing. Initially, I suspected that the bike had been returned with slightly misadjusted gears because the chain seemed to slip while pedaling home from the shop. However, I didn't have time to complain before the Alpine crossing. After about 150km on the crossing route, I realized that the gears weren't misadjusted at all, but that the bike had been returned damaged. The chain wasn't slipping; it was simply becoming increasingly difficult to transfer power to the rear wheel through pedaling, which was particularly problematic when constantly climbing over the Alps. About 45km from my destination, I could no longer transfer any power to the rear wheel and had to push the bike uphill and downhill for the remaining distance. I also had to transport the bike home by plane instead of cycling home as planned. After I reported my experience to the shop, they denied all responsibility, but offered to repair the bike, which I accepted. I repeatedly contacted the shop via their website to check the repair status, but never received a response. When I personally checked on the repair progress, I was repeatedly told that spare parts were unavailable. I was also told that a complete replacement of the drivetrain was impossible. This went on from July 2022 to June 2023. My road bike was in this shop for almost an ENTIRE year without anything happening! What shocked me greatly when I visited in person was that often there was simply no one there. You could even go down to the basement of the store and take my road bike with you, among other things. Of course, it would have been even easier upstairs or outside. Several mounts, including one for the light, have also "disappeared" from my road bike. Naturally, this didn't happen in their store. After a few weeks, I bought a second road bike from a different shop and have since taken the first one to a different repair shop.

Fantastic service! I reserved a bike without any commitment. Even after many weeks, they remembered me and kept the option open. I ended up buying a different bike in the meantime, but they remained very friendly and interested in which one I had. We even chatted about cycling for a while. Hats off to them! They'll definitely be one of the first places I go for my next bike, even though I'm not from Garching.
