We bought a bicycle for our mother and were completely satisfied with the advice we received. Andi and Tobi are extremely competent, helpful, and take their time for their customers. You feel well taken care of – highly recommended!

After two months and a bill for €560 for a simple service under warranty (electric motor), I will not be returning. For a new chain, grips, brake pads, and a new cassette, I'm now the proud owner of a €560 bill. The labor was listed at €96 per hour. To charge four hours for such a small job is beyond outrageous! I strongly advise against going there!

Owner's response

Hi Valentin,

The way you're describing it isn't quite right, unfortunately.

The long wait is because we first had to file a warranty claim with Bosch for your motor. The process of removing the motor, submitting a service request to Bosch, and then having the motor picked up from us by Bosch, tested, and then receiving the new motor simply takes time.

Ultimately, you received a new motor under warranty.

In your case, it wasn't a simple service. It was an extensive repair. We had to remove and install the motor, replace the chain and cassette, the brake pads, and all the cables, including the housing. In addition, we completely disassembled and cleaned the rear triangle, greased and adjusted all the bearings, and trued the wheels. All of this takes time.

We informed you about the costs beforehand, and you agreed to the repair.

Regards, Andi

"Very poor service. After the service, the bike worked worse than before. There was also a waiting period of several weeks – without any communication – and on top of that, the price was outrageously high. Definitely not recommended."

Owner's response

Hi Christian,

We're sorry you weren't satisfied with our service.

We always try our best to service bikes as quickly as possible, but often it's beyond our control, for example, if spare parts aren't available. Unfortunately, we have no influence over that.

This is just as unpleasant for us as it is for you, and we always inform our customers about such situations.

You mentioned that your bike isn't working as well as before.

Why didn't you contact us then?

You're welcome to bring your bike back to us, and we'll fix it free of charge.

Regards, Andi

It took them four months to repair and maintain a full-suspension bike. The bill was twice as expensive as originally estimated. Externally serviced and repaired parts were only received as a flat-rate invoice without any further information. Costs are unclear. Poor communication, lack of commitment.

A great bike shop. The mechanic always helped me spontaneously, and the two guys are incredibly friendly and helpful! I can absolutely recommend them; their expertise and quick problem resolution!

Owner's response

Thank you so much, dear Leon! We (including the lady in the background) are delighted by your words; customers like you keep us "fresh" even after more than 20 years.

During my last visit, I had several negative experiences; here's a brief summary: - Poor communication, usually only provided after I inquired. - Parts were removed for service but not reattached. I only noticed this at home and had to make a special trip back. Instead of an apology, I received a disbelieving look when I arrived and asked what had happened. - The repair couldn't be completed because a part was unavailable, which took about four months. They said they would let me know as soon as the repair was finished. - Overall, the service quality was poor, or rather, it was practically impossible to tell that any work had actually been done. I suspect they only carried out the repair itself. All in all, next time I'll seek out a different service center, one that isn't technically overwhelmed and can properly handle the work they accept. What a shame...

Rude service, even when I bought two bicycles at the end of 2020 – completely unacceptable. Expensive customer service after 1.5 years without any prior price information. The usual excuses were made to supposedly technically inept women... The car repair shop is like something out of the 80s – thanks for nothing. I'd rather fix it myself.

Owner's response

Hello Claudia, we're sorry if you found our service so poor. Our workshop, in particular, has an extremely good reputation, not only among customers but also among the manufacturers. Many customers with very high-quality bikes travel from far away to use our service. Our prices are based on the manufacturers' standard recommended retail prices. We're also affected by the general price increases; unfortunately, we're all in the same boat.

A full bill for a frosty service, but customer-friendly. The bike was brought in with a problem (incorrectly adjusted gears). Job: Adjust gears and tighten a screw. Only after asking was I told that my bike was ready for pickup. When I wanted to test it at home, I noticed that the two jobs hadn't been processed. Only the chain had been oiled. —> Mind you, for €85. When I brought the bike back, they took care of it immediately, but they told me, "Yes, the gear shift went off its own accord here, here, and here..." Three places needed to be readjusted—> who believes in the bike's ability to move independently? —> simply a service not provided. The screw that needed to be tightened hasn't been tightened yet. But I don't want to go to that shop again. Tip: Check your bike before you take it with you.

Owner's response

Hello Alessandro, I'm sorry you're so dissatisfied. We've been known for our excellent service for over 20 years, and customers with high-end bicycles have been traveling many kilometers to us for years to have their bikes serviced. Often, they have to deal with more complex tasks than just adjusting the gears. I'm sure they didn't just oil the chain on your bike. I can't say what went wrong in your case, as I don't even know which bike it is. However, I'm certain this problem can be resolved, and our mechanic will then be able to explain the cause in more detail.

Very poor service. I ordered road cycling shoes and returned them because they were the wrong size. After two weeks, the new shoes still hadn't arrived. Calling several times didn't help. No one answers, or the line is busy. I won't order from here again.
