Rude and grumpy. Should probably work in a profession where there is no human contact.

Staff was nice. Fixed the bike's breaks and gears as agreed, but the finish was poor. I had to realign the wheel again myself since the wheel was rubbing on the bike frame & the break also made a lot of noise.

Great online reservation experience. Great in-shop welcome. Open and fair order taking. Only charged what was necessary. Great overall experience! I have a new Lieblings-destination for my bicycles now. Yeah!

Unfortunately I have to add +1 to the negative reviews here. I went there to fix a little headset play and some stiffness in the integrated suspension on the Gazelle bike. Of course, my German is far from perfect and (of course) nobody spoke English that day... Anyway, the mechanic promised to check the things i was complaining about during the test ride and tell me if the fork needed to be replaced/repaired. Well, after 7 hours, exactly 0 had been done to the headset and fork. The headset still vibrates under braking and the suspension does not work, so I went back in 5 minutes. This time the mechanic was totally unfriendly, he actually blamed me in a high-pitched voice for: -misusing terms -making adjustments that ruined the fork. At the end he claimed that the fork was broken because "it shouldn't be stiff" (well, there are adjustment screws for that...). This conclusion was reached after a quick phone call to their colleagues and no one tried to adjust the fork. In fact, it looked like neither the guy (mechanic) nor the lady had any idea about this type of fork and its adjustments. So I find the communication unprofessional, and the job was not done due to the fact nobody was even tried to check what is wrong there. Rechnung Nr.9, 08.11.2024 PS (reply to owner's reply): the mechanic's picture of the day is, say, somewhat smoothed out. I left the shop because the offer sounded literally like "you can leave the bike here and we will see what we can do tomorrow". Keeping in mind his overall carelessness to this bike i didn't want to get even more problems after. So i fixed the issue myself after getting some manuals from the manufacturer of the fork.

Thank you for your honest review! We would like to share our side of the day: our mechanic accepted your bike in the morning and wrote down what repairs you wanted to be done. You told him, in German, that you would like your "Steuersatz" fixed. So he did the adjustments to the „Steuersatz“ (headset), which costs 15€. When you came to pick up your bike, the headset was repaired. The fork was not mentioned when leaving the bike at our shop in the morning, so our mechanic only fixed the headset. This miscommuniation should not happen and we are very sorry about that. When our mechanic apologized and offered to take the bike in again and repair it (we have adjustment screws for that) you left the shop. The offer to come back and let our skilled mechanics adjust the fork still stands. Best regards from doctor bike Haidhausen

I went to the store asking for both of my wheels to be trued, I got the bike back with a regreased headset instead because “that was the problem”. To begin with, the job was so poorly done for 30€ that the grease was still squirting out of the bike; to add, the wheels do need truing, especially the front one. In fact, it is visible the problem to anyone looking at the spinning wheel Given the experience I would advise anyone who knows a tad about bike maintenance to avoid this place altogether, as they evidently do whatever suits them best and just pretend that’s fine. Interestingly, the job I booked would have cost 65€. Indeed, it would have also taken more time (greasing a headset is a 15 minutes work for me…). Easy to make the math and draw conclusions… _________________ Edit to answer to the comment from doctor bike: 1) I brought the bike in booking two wheels to be trued. The wheels do need thorough truing and you did not do what you were asked for. Simple as that, I paid 30€ for a bike with wobbly wheels. I did not ask to solve a problem, I said the bike doesn't ride straight, it is either the wheels, that are evidently wobbly but perhaps also untrued vs their hubs, or the frame that is bent since it's a vintage steel one. However, since the wheels are wobbly I rather begin by fixing them, hence my booking and requested work. 2) You did not contact me to confirm the change of plans, this is utterly false. I did receive no calls at all throughout the day; you did call me when the bike was ready to pickup and then told my girlfriend who came to pick it that you did that instead 3) Whatever the grease you have used, the front tube has squirted grease on the top and bottom bearings. Again, I just report what I could see, grease that squirted, which is normal, because it is an (almost) non-compressible fluid so after the application and the tightening, some has to get out inevitably. You could have put that little effort and clean it.

Hello Edoardo, we've looked into the matter and, from our perspective, we don't understand your assessment. Yes, you wanted both wheels trued because you suspected that was the problem with your wheels not running true. During the adjustment, our experienced staff determined that the problem wasn't with the wheels, but with the seized headset. We informed you by phone, and you agreed to the change. We loosened the headset, replaced a spare part, greased it, and readjusted it. The problem was solved, and you paid less. We explained exactly this to the person you asked to pick up the bike. There may have been communication difficulties here, and the information may have been conveyed differently when it was passed on to you. However, in no case did we act against or without your consent, nor did we disadvantage you in any way; rather, we acted to your advantage. We call this customer focus.<br>By the way, the grease we use to grease a headset can never "squirt out of the bike"... this grease can really do a lot, but it is extremely viscous!

I was unable to figure out why I could not properly adjust my front and rear derailleurs on my road bike so I brought it in to Doctor Bike to have them take a look — I didn't have an appointment but simply brought it in at 10am, when they accept walk-ins. They discovered that the derailleur hanger (Schaltauge) was bent. They managed to carefully bend it back into proper alignment and did a full gear adjustment, charging me only the usual 25€ fee for the latter. All done within a few hours. Can highly recommend.

Gave my bike for full service at noon, got it back at 6pm. Feels like new - changing gears is again smooth and noiseless, bike is clean, tires are alright, I got everything I expected. I also liked the proactive approach of the people who work there, they did what my bike needed, and didn't do what it didn't need. Bike is Canyon Pathlite 7.

Just recently bought a nice bike. They had it prepared in half an hour, amazing. With other shops you have to wait a day at least! Service was great, they could even help my friend regarding e-bikes. I recommend this place for 100%!

I recently went there to have a punctured tire replaced. They charged me a fair price and were helpful and efficient from my initial phone call all the way through the repair process. I ended up dropping off my bike outside of their store before work, called them to inform them of my repair needs and picked it up after work. I would recommend their service to other people.

I went to the shop in the morning for having a broken wheel replaced. The lady was already very unfriendly. When I went to pick the bike in the evening, they looked again unfriendly and nerved, I was served after several minutes even though the shop was empty, not an answer to my greetings, and I even had to pay without being shown the work done (they just gave me the key and tschuess). I then discovered only after a few meters that the brakes where badly reassembled (they were misaligned) and -really unbelievable- one of the two main screw of the wheel was not fixed!! I hope for them that they just had a bad day, but I won't give them a second chance, all what they did is simply UNACCEPTABLE! In short: Worse personnel ever, worse service ever, for a pretty high price.
