These guys are fantastic. Instead of charging for a non-necessary motor inspection, they freed up my winter-bound motor and gears for free. Just put the right stuff where it was needed. I gave them €10. Amazingly honest merchants who, if you need a repair job, should be the first place you come to. 100% satisfied, and I very rarely say that!

The bike repair shop was still good a few years ago. Now it's run by amateurs. After a repair that lasted about a few days, I gave the shop a second chance when my bike's fender was no longer stable. Result: The fender was held in place with a piece of plastic, and the tire was rubbing with the statement: "It can't be repaired, the tube doesn't fit the fender." Of course, that wasn't possible because the high-quality bike was about a year old and had worked perfectly before. In the end: I changed repair shops, had my bike properly repaired, and that was it. Conclusion: If you want precise work, you should choose another repair shop immediately.

Incredibly bad. I went in because of a bent derailleur hanger that I couldn't replace because I didn't have a cone wrench, and I've never experienced what happened next: 1. Mechanic: You don't need a cone wrench for that, it's an Allen key. Me: No, the derailleur hanger nut needs a cone wrench. Mechanic: No, that's part of the frame, you mustn't touch it, you'll break the frame. (Complete nonsense). Another customer is there with a Di2 drivetrain. Me: That's SRAM, not Shimano. Mechanic: Looks puzzled. 2. I was about to leave when the incompetence reached a new level. Mechanic: (Regarding my SRAM chain) Is that one of those €160 chains? Me: No, a normal chain. Mechanic: You can see right away that the derailleur hanger isn't bent. (And tries to insert a chain wear indicator into the freshly waxed chain, needless to say, that it's impossible to see with the naked eye.) Me: That won't work, it's freshly waxed. Him: Waxing is just a fad, you absolutely need a new chain and cassette. Me: No, everything's fresh. His colleague points to the teeth; they're worn down, all different. Me: I briefly consider explaining to him that cassette teeth are simply different, but decide against it. I've never heard so much utter nonsense, demonstrating such complete incompetence, in such a short time. Clearly: avoid this shop and these mechanics. They have no clue and just want to sell you stuff, nothing more.

Owner's response

Dear Customer,
I'm sorry you weren't satisfied with our service.
However, I'd like to take this opportunity to explain the situation again.
You came to the shop with a high-quality carbon road bike with Di2 gears, asking us to replace the derailleur hanger you brought with you because the chain was skipping/rattling—if I remember correctly—because a friend had told you so.
I immediately took care of your bike. Experienced mechanics stand behind the suspended bike, take a look at the derailleur hanger, and can easily determine whether it needs to be adjusted or replaced. I came to the conclusion that it was perfectly straight and explained to you that I'd be happy to replace it for you, but that it couldn't be the cause of your problem! I think I even proved this to you with the derailleur hanger straightening tool, but I'm not sure anymore.
In retrospect, if I had replaced the derailleur hanger anyway and the problem had persisted, THAT would probably have been mentioned in your review.

Regarding the thru axle: With rear wheels, it's common practice for thru axles to be unscrewed on the left driver's side with a 5/6" Allen key, while the counterpart, the insert, is located on the right side. A cone wrench is generally not needed here, as the name suggests, it's for cone bearings, not for thru axle inserts!

As I continued troubleshooting, I noticed the new, rainbow-colored chain. I used my chain wear gauge to measure the chain; there's not enough wax on it to prevent you from measuring it anyway. Your chain was in mint condition, unlike the cassette. I tried to make it clear through a bit of small talk that a—admittedly nice—chain was mounted on a worn cassette, and that this was most likely the problem!
I referred you to the Shimano app for fine-tuning the gears, which any consumer can use to adjust their Di2 gears themselves!
Admittedly, the last time I had a Di2 in the shop was years ago and I had to get back to it. Ultimately, though, it wasn't about the gears at all. Feel free to contact your friends or acquaintances, who had obviously been a great help to you up until then.
To summarize, I left what I was doing and immediately contacted you, explained your own bike, found the cause of the problem elsewhere, didn't charge you for the pointless replacement of a perfectly good derailleur hanger, explained the possible solutions to the problem, and gave you 20 minutes of my time during the day-to-day business, which I didn't charge you for, so you didn't even lose anything. And as thanks, I have to deal with such an outrageous review. No problem, you're welcome. Best regards, your incompetent mechanic

I stopped by on a Saturday to have my front and rear brakes replaced. Everything was done within an hour, and I was able to pick up my bike. The repair went quickly and smoothly, and the result was excellent. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair – thank you very much!
