Very difficult to rate... I've had quite positive experiences in the past! The workshop is very professional, and the staff do their job really well! For a high but fair price, you really get quality here! If it stayed that way, it would be 5 stars... Unfortunately, the (former?) owner, as described in other reviews, is a real nuisance to customers. For the last three years, without exception, every time the senior owner answered the phone or advised me in the shop, I received a curt, rude, or annoyed response. To me, that's no longer just a "direct personality" but simply damaging to business. Whether it's a repair order during or after the season, even for bikes purchased in the shop, the older gentleman refuses to accept them, saying that a repair isn't worth it anymore (in the case of a broken derailleur hanger), or claiming that there are no spare parts available (in the case of a mudguard for a €4,000 e-bike bought at Hofmann). Unfortunately, I haven't had a single positive experience with the senior manager in recent years. As I said, I'm truly sorry for the competent and friendly staff, but these days I prefer to go to a retailer where I feel comfortable.

Bought a e-suv bike and their expertize were really good. Done 640km Thursday and very happy!

I visited the Hofmann bike shop on July 31, 2025, because my e-bike was due for its first service. While there, I noticed that the emblem on my Centurion bike was loose, almost completely detached. I was told it would either be glued back on or a Centurion representative would take care of it. Apparently, the emblem was glued, but the situation remained unchanged – it's still loose. What was particularly disappointing, however, was the older gentleman's attitude in the shop. He was very unfriendly and not customer-oriented. When I asked if it was possible to upgrade my shock absorber – technically feasible, as it's the same model in a higher-quality version with identical dimensions – I was dismissed with the remark that it was "all nonsense." He essentially said that I should have spent more money if I wanted a better bike. The cashier, on the other hand, was very friendly and customer-oriented. The young man who works there is also a good fit; he's friendly and competent.

I've tried to buy a spare part here three times in the last few years. Twice I encountered completely unfriendly staff who clearly had no motivation to sell me anything. The third time, the item (a standard-size tire) was supposedly out of stock. As a customer, you're only valued here if you're buying a new bicycle. So much for "supporting local businesses." And then retailers complain when people prefer to buy online? After that, they're forgotten here. I will avoid this store in the future. One star is actually too generous.

Excellent advice and superb service! I received excellent advice from one of the staff members – she took her time, explained everything thoroughly, and answered all my questions clearly. We wanted to buy a bicycle seat for our daughter. The store told us it would be possible to install one on my e-bike. We would just need to bring the bike in for professional installation. When I tried to make an appointment by phone, I was told very rudely that it was absolutely impossible. So we went to another bike shop, and they were able to install a seat there.

Very friendly and competent, honest and fast! I came with an old, used mountain bike whose chain had broken. After a quick check, the old chain was repaired and reinstalled. I wasn't pressured into buying anything new (like a complete drivetrain). The price was therefore very fair. I was also able to wait and take the bike with me immediately 👍 A definite 5 stars!

Despite the language barrier, the communication was very reassuring. Before traveling over 500km... it was a real plus! Upon arrival, the bike was in excellent condition, exactly as expected. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They even recommended a good restaurant for lunch. A beautiful shop with a wide range of products to pique your interest. Absolutely fantastic! Thanks again.

I visited Fahrrad Hofmann in Summer this year (2019) on my way through from Vienna, Austria to Sheffield, England on Cube GTC SL Attain. The tour was over 2000 Km and I was doing it unsupported. I landed on Fahrrad Hofmann as a coincidence and was just happy to find a store with the parts I needed and a workshop, so that I could tune my gears again and just give my bike a check over, ready for the next 1000 Km. That's exactly what happened. They checked my bike over, mounted the parts, which I had bought and I was ready for the next 1000 Km. The boss even took my Ortlieb Saddle Bag to the local tailors to stitch the velcro patch back on, which had come off (!!!!). This repair was done as goodwill and just the fact that someone was willing to take my bag, walk to the tailors to get it repaired was extremely surprising and I was very thankful for it. If that bag had fallen off somewhere in the wheat fields of Germany, I would have had a problem. They have quality parts here (Ortlieb, Cube, Shimano) and a brand new service area, which is something in itself. if you go here for service, ask to see the service area, it's very impressive. So thanks to Fahrrad Hofmann. Customer service at it's best. Definitely recommend unreservedly!
