Dear Sir or Madam, I am deeply disappointed and, frankly, speechless at the behavior I experienced in your bicycle shop. I entered your shop with a simple request: my tire was low on air, and since several pumps were readily available in your shop, I politely asked if I could briefly inflate it. To my surprise, this was refused – without any comprehensible explanation. It is absolutely incomprehensible to me why pumps available in a bicycle shop apparently cannot be used, even in an obvious emergency. Furthermore, I asked if the salesperson could repair my tire for a fee. The shop was still open for another 30 minutes at that point. Instead of receiving a professional or at least respectful response, my request was met with derision. This condescending behavior was not only impolite but simply disrespectful and unprofessional. A bicycle shop should be a place where cyclists receive support – especially with such basic issues. Instead, I was treated as if my request were bothersome or inappropriate. This is not what customer service should look like. I expect at least a statement regarding this incident and hope that you will provide your staff with appropriate training on customer service. This is how you permanently alienate customers.

What's the point? I don't lend out air pumps. The ones you saw were for sale, in their original packaging.

And I simply didn't want to lug your heavy e-bike up to the workshop just because my compressor is there. That's my decision. I'm not your slave. What do you think you're doing?

Do you go to a car repair shop to have them inflate your tires? Of course not. You probably wouldn't even think of expecting that.

It really gets on my nerves that some people think I have to inflate their bicycle tires. Unbelievable. Luckily, there are only a few of them.

Why don't you buy an air pump yourself, or go to a gas station to do it yourself? What's the problem?

But giving me a negative review because I didn't do what you wanted is pretty cheap.

Brave new world.

Very good and affordable service! I had an accident with my Cube e-bike, luckily only 500 meters away from the shop. They called and said they could come over immediately and leave the bike there for two days. I was worried that the repair would cost several hundred euros, but it all came for free and didn't even cost 100. Thank you very much, best regards!

A very rude man. He said he didn't want to look for spare parts for us when we were there and asked nicely, only to find out a week later that he wouldn't repair the bike after all because he couldn't get the spare parts. A disgrace.

Counterstatement:

Ms. Haas, living at Ebenseestrasse 9, came into the shop with her bike and a broken seat post.
Unfortunately, I didn't have a suitable one in stock. I therefore suggested she order the correct seat post. She could leave the bike there in the meantime, as it couldn't be used without it anyway.

After researching in the evening, I regretfully discovered that none of my suppliers stocked a seat post with the unusual diameter of 28.4 mm.
I then texted Ms. Haas the next day, saying she could pick up her bike. However, she didn't do so for about a week.

I then recommended that she contact the seller of her bike. They should be able to get such a seat post.
But instead of thanking me for my efforts, which were free of charge, I received a negative review. What an outrage.

I hereby issue you, Ms. Haas, a general ban from the premises. Please don't let yourself be seen again.

Excellent service, fair price, friendly owner I can neither understand nor confirm the negative reviews of Rad + Technik Hutzler and had a thoroughly positive experience. Mr. Hutzler was friendly, straightforward, and very helpful. My bike was completely checked over, including a new rear tire – quickly, thoroughly, and at a very fair price. I highly recommend this shop and will gladly return.

I've been taking my bicycles to Mr. Hutzler for several years now. You can drop by anytime, and the repair is usually finished by the following week. The prices are absolutely fair!

This guy is so rude and unprofessional. If you didn't buy your bike from him, forget it. He charges €2 just to pump your tire - not that I needed this service, I simply stopped and asked him if I could borrow a wrench to put my pedal back on which had fallen off. He took €2 off me and insisted he would do it, but failed - telling me the pedal was irreparably broken. He returned my €2 and I pushed my bike home where I fixed the pedal in 10 minutes. This was over a year ago and it still works fine. Someone so arrogant should not run a public-facing business with daily customer contact. Not recommended at all, just ask a random person in the street for help which will be free and more competent.

I'm always very satisfied and glad he exists. I hope Mr. Hutzler continues to run his workshop for many years to come: competent advice on repairs, very reasonable prices, and quick service. Once, a repair didn't quite hold up after 1.5 years, but he rectified it free of charge as a goodwill gesture. A real commitment to customer service. The bikes they offered used to be top-notch and reasonably priced, too.

I can't understand the bad reviews. The very calm, older man struck me as relaxed and friendly. I'm not familiar with the prices, but I think they were fair. He also took care of some extra work, like fixing a stuck bike stand, without it affecting the price. The price was within the expected range. I'm very satisfied and can recommend this bike shop.

Thank you for your appreciation. Unfortunately, some of our contemporaries lack this.

Had my bike there for repair and annual inspection. - flat tire - sprockets change - chain replace - brakes adjust - brake cable replace - gears adjust Etc. We talked everything through before I left my bike there for repair. I got a message, when the job was done. Everything was done like discussed and works fine again. The price is transparent (everything on invoice) and fair. I am a 100% happy customer.
