So, I've read through everything and I have to say something. Tyler, if you're already complaining about everything and even pointing out the problems that were already there with your bike, why didn't you fix it yourself? The mechanic can only do what the customer tells him to, and if there's too much of a wobble in the rear wheel, then we'll try to fix it as best we can, or you can buy a new rear wheel. Regarding the gears, if someone has already messed with them, we don't touch them again. We point out to the customer that something isn't right with the gears, but we also tell them what's broken and that it will cost more. If the customer doesn't want to pay the extra cost, then it stays as it is, and we point out that something isn't right. It also depends on how old the bike is, and sometimes there's gradual material fatigue, or other issues come up during the repair that we, as mechanics, point out to the customer. Then the customer can decide whether or not to have them addressed. Therefore, next time do everything yourself so you know what the work is and what it costs. Radel Schorsch is not at fault in this case; he does very good work, and you should be glad that there are people like him who come to you and repair your bike on site.

I rarely write reviews, as everyone can have a bad day. However, in this case, I feel compelled to share my experience, as it was very stressful. The initial contact was friendly and straightforward. The sole purpose of the service was to correct a wobble in the rear wheel. According to them, this could only be partially corrected because the rim was supposedly too badly bent. After removing and reinstalling the rear wheel, however, the gears, which had worked perfectly for months, suddenly malfunctioned – especially in the highest gear. Therefore, during the first appointment, they also attempted to adjust the gears. I was initially told that a bent derailleur hanger was the cause. However, in subsequent conversations, various other reasons were cited, including problems with the sprocket, a supposedly missing washer (which had previously been omitted), and later, the hub itself – even though they had said it was fine during the first appointment. This fluctuating assessment seemed increasingly contradictory to me. ... The following day, I crashed while riding after the gear shifting failed noticeably under load. Only then did I realize how serious the problem actually was. When I subsequently described the incident calmly and objectively and requested a prompt resolution, the way they treated me changed drastically. I was immediately told that I would not be communicated with in that "tone," even though my message was, in my view, objective and factual. (See photos) Further communication involved numerous arguments. Only after I made it clear that I reserved the right to take legal action was another appointment scheduled. At this appointment, they attempted to fix the problem again. Afterward, cracking and squeaking noises also appeared under load. Additionally, the rear brake's pressure point was no longer present. What disappointed me most was the personal interaction on-site. As soon as I questioned the work critically, their demeanor changed significantly. Despite repeated calm requests to refrain from personal remarks and insults, I perceived the mechanic's behavior as repeatedly very loud, swearing, agitated, and at times aggressive. I would also like to mention that I deliberately contacted a local mechanic because I didn't have my own tools available due to a recent move, and I wanted to help someone local. The outcome was all the more disappointing. A neighbor who witnessed parts of the situation later also commented on the loud and tense behavior, confirming my observations. After the last update, the device was no longer functioning reliably. Furthermore, additional defects have appeared that were not present before. I also cannot confirm the alleged installation of the chain. (See picture) This review is not intended to criticize errors per se – mistakes can happen. What is crucial for me is how criticism is handled and how complaints are addressed. I find it very regrettable that the initially friendly contact so drastically deteriorated after I voiced my justified criticism. At this point, the bike unfortunately has more technical defects than before the repair attempts. Previously, apart from a slight wobble in the wheel, it ran reliably and without any safety issues. Ultimately, everyone can form their own opinion. For me, the entire process, especially the way the matter was handled, remains unprofessional.

Dear Customer, I was called out to a bicycle that was supposedly needed for a charitable project. The rear wheel had a significant lateral wobble; at least seven spokes were noticeably too loose. To remove the wheel, I had to unscrew the incorrectly mounted derailleur from the frame.<br><br>Truing the wheel was only possible to a certain extent because the rim had already suffered structural damage; the wheel had apparently been used quite heavily despite the loose spokes.<br><br>I pointed out that the rim probably wouldn't last much longer for a cargo bike.<br><br>I was then told that the owner was experiencing financial difficulties and needed to sell the bike quickly; it would have to be done this way.<br><br>Not my philosophy, but everyone is free to decide for themselves.<br><br>While installing the rear wheel and derailleur, I noticed that the derailleur hanger was bent inwards instead of being aligned. I straightened that as well. A washer on the axle seemed odd to me, but I installed the wheel according to my knowledge and standard procedure.<br><br>After that, shifting to the hardest gear/smallest sprocket was no longer possible. I adjusted the gears correctly and pointed out this problem, but the limit screws on the shifter didn't allow for any other adjustment.<br><br>During a test ride, I was able to use the gears on the other nine gears.<br><br>Out of sympathy for the owner's social commitment, I only charged a symbolic fee of 20 euros (my travel allowance).<br><br>That evening, I received a message that the owner was extremely annoyed because the gears were now suddenly slipping and not working properly.<br><br>The rather harsh wording bothered me, and I replied that I would be happy to take another look at the bike, but that the tone was inappropriate.<br><br>Then I received the first threat that a lawyer would be involved (including her name). This surprised me greatly; the owner had told me he was studying law, but I hadn't expected that and found it inappropriate.<br>... I couldn't agree with the list of faults and defects and immediately questioned the veracity of the claims and the owner's expertise. He then started tapping away on his smartphone and said, "My lawyer is on his way."<br><br>That really tested my composure.<br><br>Dear customers, I'll leave it to you to judge this case for yourselves.<br><br>I did my best, but felt repeatedly provoked by the owner's tone and statements, and of course, I'm only human.<br><br>I wish you safe travels and hope the new owner of the bike takes it to a workshop soon for a thorough check-up.<br><br>Anyone is welcome to test how friendly and helpful I am.<br><br>Yours truly, Bike-George

Flat tire, tube broke, Radel-Schorsch called. It couldn't be better: excellent communication, a personalized appointment scheduled within just one business day, they were at my door on time, replaced the tube, and replaced the almost worn-out brake pads along with it, plus a quick service – and a great conversation. Absolutely trustworthy! The price is okay for the perfect service. A full 5 stars!

I called at 10:30 and by 12:30 my flat tire was fixed. The price was perfectly reasonable. Great guy. Thanks, Jennx!

Since I had a flat tire, I contacted Radlschorsch. He forwarded my request to Ronald Pausch. He came promptly and got my bike back in working order. It now practically flies over the streets, and they even cleaned it for me. I'd gladly use their services again. Thanks!

Top service! For some reason, all the spokes on the rear of our e-cargo bike were loose, making the bike untransportable due to its size and weight. Schorsch came to us in Erlangen, fixed the problem in about half an hour, and the bike is running smoothly again. He also had a few good tips on what to look out for in the future. He's also a nice and approachable person. We highly recommend him and his mobile workshop. (Since the whole thing was handled through the insurance policy, we can't comment on the financial aspect.)

What do you do when your bikes have been stored away over the winter and need a professional inspection at the start of the season? How do you get them to the workshop with flat tires and sticking brakes? This time it was no problem, because Schorsch came by. He was quick to come, punctual, and reliable. Plus, we had a nice chat and a fair price. Highly recommended!

I had Radel-Schorsch repair/adjust my front derailleur and Shimano gears. We arranged an appointment via WhatsApp for the next morning in less than an hour. The gears are working perfectly again. Great concert! Excellent service!
