Had an awesome time here renting ski boots and shopping for ski outfits! Stuffs here are very friendly and welcome. They are very professional with boots fitting and skin adjusting too. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, we trusted the clerk asking for cross country skis for the track (or better she asked whether we wanted track or off piste) and after buying them (and sadly unwrapping them) we discovered on the Salomon website that the skis were marketed as touring/ off piste. Very disappointing, never again [in response to the store: the Salomon website clearly defines the Escape 48 as “Am besten für: Gelände” while the ones recommended for the track would be others. Of course all skis can be used on both scenarios, but a word of advice would have been appreciated. The clerk only asked whether we wanted track or off-track skis, no further explanation, we only debated on the length thereafter]
Owner's response
Thank you for your feedback.

We cannot let this review stand as it is factually incorrect.

The ski you purchased is **clearly a cross-country ski**, which is also clearly and unambiguously defined on the **Salomon** website. It is a **cross-country touring ski**. This category means that the ski can be used **both on and off-piste (cross-country)** – **however, its primary use is clearly on the groomed trails**.

Our sales assistant advised you correctly and explained this distinction precisely. The fact that a touring cross-country ski can also be used off-piste does **not** make it a pure powder or off-piste ski.

Therefore, we **cannot understand** this criticism at all and consider it **unjustified** to give us such a negative review based on this. A factually incorrect description of the product does not reflect reality and in no way does justice to our advice.
We love this store. It has a wide variety of men, women, and children’s clothing and sport wear. Coming from the US, it is the closest thing we could find to an American sporting goods store! Staff is very helpful and friendly as well!

We have been coming here for years, and always coming back after we tried other places. There is a very good selection with everything being high quality but also in different price ranges. They also have all the new technology and really good recommendations on what to buy. Even if the store is not one of those enormous ones, we have always left satisfied and with what we needed. The ski service is also great, which seems is not a given as we had a bad experience last year at one of the bigger sports stores.
