Wow, first-class service, I'm seriously impressed. I took my Simplon Silkcarbon bicycle – which I bought for €3700 in July 2024 – to the velovest bike shop because of a slight wobble in the rear wheel. I asked them to straighten it. I had already cycled 600 km from Frankfurt and still had 1300 km to go via the Baltic Sea, Timmendorf, and back. The diagnosis was that spokes had broken off the standard rim and a (now reinforced) rear wheel rim needed to be installed. The shop owner spontaneously took care of this in 1.5 hours, even though he was very busy, serving all the customers single-handedly and also having to resolve an email provider issue. First-class service, it couldn't be better. For comparison: The same thing happened to me on my first bike tour in August 2024. I had to cut my trip short, take the train home, and wait three weeks for spare parts and repairs. And they reinstalled the same far too weak standard rim instead of the reinforced one, which costs less than €40. On a €3700 bicycle without a motor!!! The bike shop in Mainz is 10-15 times larger (number of employees, sales area, workshop, etc.). Wow, and top marks for Velo-West! 👍👍👍

I ordered two Bergamont e-bikes for my wife and me over the phone. The ordering process was straightforward and the staff were friendly. Pickup went just as smoothly. The batteries were fully charged, and we were able to take an extensive test ride through Potsdam. I would gladly order again.

Since I unfortunately had a very urgent request, I relied on the staff's helpfulness. Despite their extremely busy schedules, I was treated very courteously (which is no longer a given). They were able to understand my problem in a friendly conversation and resolve it within the constraints of their otherwise full schedule. In short: Friendly, competent staff in a well-organized environment! I would gladly use their services again!

This was our second time in Potsdam, renting two bikes from Velo West. The initial contact was quick and easy... the price-performance ratio is excellent compared to similar shops! €11 per day instead of €14 at the train station. Since I couldn't get on with the saddle due to health issues, I received a super ergonomic saddle, just right for me... so nothing stood in the way of a tour along the Havel River. The guys at Velo West have really grown on me. I can always take my bikes there, and no matter what the problem is, they always manage to fix everything. My utmost respect for your work. They're never stressed or unfriendly, always up for a chat, and they're happy to share tips that you can later put into practice yourself.
