I picked up a used bike and had it repaired right there. It's great that this is possible! Open only on Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Plattenfix is a (mostly) volunteer-run bicycle workshop that offers tools, expertise, and used bicycles and spare parts on a donation basis. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming; very, very pleasant. I went there today to get a used 24-inch bike for a friend and found what I was looking for: a steel frame, 18-speed derailleur gears, usable wheels, fenders, and a lighting system that needed repair. I was able to replace the saddle and kickstand from the workshop's stock, but I'll have to go to a shop for the lighting system. As an aside: I recently picked up an old MIFA frame at Plattenfix and built it into a city bike (see photo). Upcycling made in Potsdam-West!
