If youre touring and need help, youd be wise to stop here. 6 weeks into my tour the rear wheel was falling apart with a few fractures on the rim, a spoke or 2 loose and significant side-to-side sway. I came from the south pretty late in the afternoon so im not sure if i couldve made it to other shops towards berlin that day. I had been told before that my tire size was rare, so i wasnt too surprised when a new rim wasnt available. The guy running the shop did however find a suitable, but used rim somewhere. I only had 300km left in the tour so had i not gotten a replacement tire on that day, i might have chanced the rest of the trip with the fractured rim. Figuring i was safer off with the wheel from his storage(or junk pile for all i know or care) he swapped it out, but refused to take money for 'broken' equipment. The wheel did just fine for the rest of trip, and ill be trying not to buy a new one before springtime.

I had a problem with my son's bike that I couldn't fix myself. I went to Bäke Rad without an appointment and was greeted immediately and very warmly. The problem was fixed within 10 minutes. I highly recommend Bäke Rad. Thank you very much, and keep up the good work. Best regards

Great service, always friendly. No appointment necessary, just drop by. Depending on the problem, the bike stays overnight (or longer, depending on the workload and how busy they are). For minor repairs, I've even been able to pick up my bike the same day. When you drop it off, you definitely get an estimate of the repair time, which helps you plan accordingly.

An honest, old-school bike shop! No fuss, realistic and honest assessments of feasibility, clean work, fair prices, reliable scheduling, and they fix what can be fixed without trying to sell you something new... Thank you so much!!! I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

I had an idea yesterday to rent two electric bikes and cycle into the city with my daughter. The owner of this bike shop was very quick, friendly and helpful with his emails. I couldn't have asked for more. I had accurate information about the height my daughter would need to be, what documents I should bring and pricing. Today we arrived, the bikes were charged and out front waiting for us. Ready to go. He talked us through the functions, checked my daughter's height was comfortable and even rigged a basket on the back so I could carry my rucksack more easily. The electric bikes were a great experience. Fabulous modern quality. We covered some distance.Very grateful to you sir for a wonderful service from your shop. We would recommend this place highly and we will be back!

Even with my pedantic streak, the shop owner is completely relaxed and accommodating. He listens to me, gives me brief, to-the-point advice, and the prices are right, while the maintenance/upgrade to my trekking bike is completed super quickly. He's probably a perfectionist himself. In any case, I'm completely satisfied. Thank you very much! Addendum 1: My new bike is here :) And once again, the owner of the workshop has done an outstanding job. He customized everything the way I wanted it, so I'll have tons of fun riding right from the start. Addendum 2: The owner has demonstrated his skills (in terms of quality, time, and social skills) in efficiently repairing bicycles countless times. I've only had positive experiences with him, and plenty of them. Even if I have to come to Stahnsdorf, it's worth it every time!
