Regarding voucher redemption, I chose a pair of shoes that I wanted to redeem with my 7-month-old voucher, but it didn't work due to a computer problem. Goodbye, customer service at SportScheck – that's a thing of the past. Never again will I shop at that store.

Yesterday I went to the flocking service at Sportscheck. The guy there took a lot of time to neatly and professionally flock my jersey. I'm very happy with the result.

The consultation was an absolute disaster. We've been skiing for almost 30 years and have tried quite a few models. There were some skis on sale (good value for money for us) that were the right length. Our priority is easy turning for relaxed skiing. "I'll adjust the bindings myself since we don't have our ski boots with us." First, a lecture, like a schoolteacher. Then the consultant explained that slalom skis should be a maximum of 5cm shorter than your height and downhill skis 10cm shorter. Question: "Wouldn't it be the other way around?" No! Then they wouldn't have any grip. "Aha." What they were doing had nothing to do with skiing. "OK, I haven't seen it done that way before." The icing on the cake was that (according to the consultant) we had to sign a form agreeing to the (non-)adjustment of the bindings. "Why? I bought two pairs here two years ago, and it didn't matter then. If I were ordering online, I wouldn't sign anything either." But you're buying here! Now I see: The form includes binding settings, combined with insurance from DSV Insurance, where they'll probably have to justify why they couldn't sell the insurance.

Unfortunately the products are season related so there is no chance to get swimming clothes in winter for instance but apart from that the collection is OK.
