My bike chain broke today on my way from the city to Pusdorf. So I arrived at the bike shop with my bike, chain, and oil-covered hands. Without even looking properly, they immediately told me, "I'm sorry, we can't do anything about that this week." So I just pushed the bike back out of the shop. I found that unfriendly and not at all helpful.

I needed a pump because my old one went missing... I thought to myself, "support local" instead of ordering online! I had to go to the post office anyway, it was right next door, so it was convenient. Then I asked about a pump, and well... only mini pumps for on the go. I'd have to pump 30 times with that. The salesperson said a floor pump would be better for home use. That actually makes sense. But the price was way over 30 euros for a pump. For me, as a casual cyclist, it's not worth the extra cost. So I asked about a larger frame pump. The answer was, "Well, those things are useless." 🤣 Sorry, but in my mind's eye, I saw my generation before me and the one before them, whom I'd have to teach that those things are useless. After using them for a lifetime. By the way, I also spent a decade with my frame pump. It always worked perfectly. No fuss, just inflate and that's it. I really lacked finesse. The attempt to sell something else wasn't entirely clear to me. It wasn't exactly persuasive. My impression: a high-end bike shop. Not really a place for the average person. For inexperienced customers, things could quickly become very expensive there. Offering a frame pump for under €15... something that's worked for generations, surely that's no big deal. 👑 I ordered it online the next day. It arrived the same day. Excellent.

Two days later, despite the holiday, we received a fantastic offer. It couldn't be better! Just a week ago, I spontaneously bought my new bike here. I saw the ad on eBay, booked an appointment right away, and two days later, inspected and purchased the bike in a COVID-safe manner. The service was competent and friendly. The bike was assembled quickly, and after 40 minutes, I was able to take it home with me. Excellent! I highly recommend them!
