I wanted to return some shoes there, and one of the employees said she had to ask her boss. The "boss" then went to the back with my shoe and made me wait. After a few minutes, she opened the door and gave the shoes to her colleague without showing herself again. He gave me the shoes back and, with a cheeky grin, asked if I could come back in 40 minutes because they were waiting for a response from their boss. I said I couldn't wait that long and left my number. He said they would get in touch, but that never happened. I've never experienced anything like it, and I don't understand how they can hire such rude employees. They should be taught how to behave properly in a store and what customer service means. I will NEVER buy anything there again.

If I could, I'd give zero stars, but unfortunately that's not possible, so you get one star from me. I wonder why you're even still open with all the bad reviews? I mean, nobody likes you, and apparently you don't like yourselves either, because the way you treat others clearly shows that you don't care about your job at all. Please just find a decent job that you enjoy and do yourselves, and especially us, a favor.

A very disappointing experience at the JD Sports store in Hamburg-Harburg. While I was choosing shoes, my children were asked to leave the store by an employee – without speaking to me beforehand and without any understandable explanation. This behavior was disrespectful and completely inappropriate. My children weren't bothering anyone, and I was in the middle of shopping. I expect a well-known brand like JD Sports to treat customers and families politely and professionally. After this incident, I don't feel welcome there and will not be visiting this store again.

Today, September 6th, 2025, we were in front of the store around 2:50 PM wanting to do some shopping. The saleswoman immediately threw us out and said in a very rude tone that no one else was coming in because they were about to take their break and would be closing the store afterward due to a lack of staff. What kind of way is this to treat customers who have already spent a lot of money in the store? If there aren't enough staff, then you have to be able to forgo a break if you value your job. I think this young woman needs some extra training on how to deal with customers. After all, they're the ones who secure her job. According to the opening hours, the store should be open until 8 PM today, not closing at 3 PM due to staff shortages. Often, the store doesn't even open until 11 AM, even though it says everywhere that it opens at 10 AM. The employees in the store can obviously work whenever and however they want. It's simply outrageous what customers have to put up with. Perhaps the store in the Phoenix Center should be closed down; there are two other, better shoe stores that actually know how to provide good customer service.

I will never buy shoes from JD again. The fabric tore/was damaged after only four months. I've never seen shoes fall apart so quickly. It shows how cheaply they are made. When we went back, the employee blamed us and made all sorts of excuses not to take them back.

An absolute outrage! I was publicly insulted by an employee at the JD store in Harburg – And in front of other customers! Her colleagues laughed along instead of intervening. The tone was disrespectful, rude, and simply degrading. I have rarely felt so humiliated and degraded. Absolutely unacceptable – never again JD!

I came to the Phoenix Center in Hamburg-Harburg today specifically to return a product at the JD Sports store. According to the official opening hours, the store should have been open since 10:00 AM. It's now 10:36 AM and the store is still closed! This is simply unacceptable. As a customer, I rely on the stated opening hours, especially when I've made a special trip to resolve an issue. This lack of reliability is absolutely outrageous and shows that JD Sports clearly doesn't take customer service seriously. I am beyond disappointed and will definitely not be visiting this store or any other JD Sports stores in Germany again. It's truly a shame to be treated so disrespectfully as a customer – especially by such a large brand. Anyone expecting reliable service should find a different retailer.

We bought shoes for €170. A week after purchase, one of the eyelets broke while we were tightening the laces. When we went back with the shoes, the box, and the receipt to assert our right to a product exchange, we immediately realized they were trying to weasel out of it. They felt the shoes, accused us of washing them in the washing machine (which isn't true), and claimed we had pulled too hard on the laces and deliberately damaged the eyelet! Even though I explained our rights and argued with the four saleswomen who had gathered, they refused to exchange the shoes. The store manager was unavailable for a reasonable discussion. Customer service is nonexistent there. We will never shop there again!

I had an extremely bad experience at the JD Sports store in the Harburg Phönix Center. The staff were completely incompetent and treated customers with extreme rudeness. I was looking for new shoes and decided on a pair to buy at the checkout. The employee offered me insoles or toe protectors to make the shoes more durable. After agreeing to try them, I found they didn't fit and were uncomfortable. I was then told that I couldn't return the insoles because I had tried them on. This was very frustrating, as I wasn't aware of this policy. To make matters worse, I then wanted to pay with Apple Pay, but the employee told me that this wasn't possible – even though there was no indication of it anywhere in the store. Her rudeness and lack of customer service were shocking. First, they try to sell you unnecessary add-ons that don't fit, and then they don't even accept common payment methods. I am very disappointed and will definitely not recommend this store. The service is terrible and the staff yell at customers instead of helping them.

The store doesn't deserve a single star at the moment. The employees need customer service training. Very unfriendly, incompetent... 2.8 stars overall. They have to raise the alarm and take action!
