I was there today and wanted to ask if they could make some modifications to my new bicycle. The staff were absolutely nice and friendly, but the "manager" of the place was incredibly rude. He started by lecturing me about not buying the wrong thing when you get a new bike, which is completely unacceptable. It was like I had actively contributed money and then complained. They refused to do it because of the warranty on the bike, which makes no sense, since the warranty covers other things. If my axle breaks, the manufacturer can't just say, "But your brake line wasn't from us," and refuse. So, overall, extremely unprofessional, and the tone was appalling. I definitely wouldn't go there again voluntarily.

A fantastic welcome upon arrival. The advice was very competent, honest, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. They did a perfect job. Everything was explained clearly, and my bike was repaired in less than two days. The repair process was explained very well, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them. 🎉 I give you more than five stars! 🥳 Thank you all so much!

The shop owner assessed the problem and provided an estimate. I will be notified by phone once the bike is repaired, and payment will be made on-site. I hope my bike is repaired well. However, I'd like to give a five-star rating already because the shop owner is really kind. I don't know why, but before I left the shop, I forgot my phone and wallet there. Luckily, the shop owner is very honest. He kept my valuables safe, and when I returned, he even tried to contact my school by email. In the end, I didn't lose anything, and I'm very grateful for his help. I will post another review about the quality of the repair after I receive my bike. September 6, 2024 Very good repair 👍

I had a flat tire when I arrived at the train station. The inner tube, tire, brake disc, and brake pads were replaced the same day (it needed replacing anyway). The cost seemed reasonable to me. Only the mudguard nuts weren't tightened, and one was missing – unfortunately, I only noticed this when I got home. Since the employee was friendly and helped quickly, I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Fantastic! Super friendly contact with all employees, my slightly worn-out commuter bike got a check-up and some TLC, now it runs like a dream and rides like new. Price/performance ratio is absolutely fair, highly recommended!

A good place to bring a sick bicycle but not in the afternoon if u care about your peddles. The morning staff do the best work.

Anyone looking for a competent, friendly, and affordable bicycle repair shop in the Darmstadt area should definitely consider Gleis 66! I was passing through on my racing bike and had an emergency. Even though several employees were reportedly sick and the shop had a ton of work in the form of bikes, they took the time to help me with my problem. Together, they got my gearshift working again. A huge thank you to Mr. Ruf and his team.

Unlike other workshops in Darmstadt, you can get an appointment without weeks of waiting. However, this workshop is more expensive than the Darmstadt average, and the service has never been completely satisfactory; I've often had to return for follow-up work. Communication regarding expected costs also needs improvement.

My bicycle was broken and desperately needed a service; now it's working again, and all without an appointment and within just a few days. The prices are comparable to other repair shops, and the staff are friendly. I'm completely satisfied.
