I brought my e-bike in for rear brake repair and received extremely competent and friendly service from Peter. He repaired my bike quickly and professionally, and at my request, he also took care of a few minor repairs free of charge. Peter is very professional, reliable, and customer-oriented. The value for money is excellent. Eberstadt can only benefit from people like Peter Esselborn and his bike repair shop. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Andreas Frank

Unfriendly, unreliable service. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. The service is extremely poor and does not adhere to agreements. Parts are replaced at their own discretion to pressure the customer into buying, with statements such as "Otherwise, you will have to bear the costs of installation and removal," and at exorbitant prices, no less.

Title: Beware of unreliable and unprofessional service! Before placing an order here, I strongly recommend getting a written estimate beforehand. Otherwise, you could be in for a nasty surprise when paying. My experience was extremely disappointing. Parts were randomly replaced without prior consultation, and then billed for. I've learned from my own experience and would never recommend anyone to take their property here for repair. Overall, I strongly advise caution. It's important to do your research beforehand and explore alternative options to avoid similar negative experiences.

I strongly recommend asking for or agreeing on a price before any work is done. I was charged five times the agreed price for the work completed because replacing the cable was supposedly "so complicated." Nearly 80 euros to replace a cable is not only outrageous, but also quite interesting when you consider that during the entire "repair," part of the cover of the Shimano shifter broke and a screw was lost. After much hesitation and the owner avoiding eye contact, they agreed to take another look "as a courtesy." I waited three days for my bike, only for it to fall back into the shop five minutes after I left because the defective part was simply pushed back in instead of being replaced. I don't expect much, but a fair price and the assurance that no further damage occurs during the repair is, I think, the bare minimum. The fact that so many other reviews were addressed in such "detailed detail" does not exactly demonstrate a capacity for reflection, and it is unlikely that the way work is carried out here will change anytime soon.

Very friendly staff and great service, especially with small favors that make all the difference to me! The friendly mechanic helped me remove the retaining ring from the cassette, which I couldn't get off myself. All this in exchange for a donation to the coffee fund, which I was happy to generously contribute to... :)

Excellent service in finding a replacement for a small chain guard ring that was out of stock! And all for a profit of just a few euros at best. Whether it ultimately fits remains to be seen, but the support was there.

I retrieved my bicycle and found the cables were a completely different color than before. I returned to the workshop and asked them to replace the cable, and they simply told me the job was done and everything was working. They then proceeded to ask me, the customer, if the service was correct, without at least informing me beforehand that they did NOT have cables in the same color as the one that needed replacing, and whether they could still complete the service. They were incredibly rude! Besides their extremely expensive service, the "professionals" there (if they truly are professionals) are extremely unfriendly and disrespectful to customers. I cannot recommend this bike shop to anyone!

Sometimes friendly, sometimes grumpy, sometimes witty in a sarcastic way that not everyone understands. But always competent and to the point. More of a workshop than a pretty shop. But it has everything a cyclist needs. And it's been there forever. Not cheap and nice today and gone tomorrow. A reliable place with a bit of character.

Professional staff who know what they're talking about, good selection of bikes and parts. Bikes more for the upper price range (ie don't go in there looking for a 400 euro bike), but plenty of parts, helmets etc that are fairly priced. The best thing (and worth the extra money) is the customer service and local support. BUY LOCAL so that they can stay local!

I've been riding for over 20 years and worked on bikes for the same time. I know a good bike shop and it was great to find Luftpumpe. They are a true bike shop - the right attitude and equipment for all types of bikes. Good guys too!
