Absolutely brilliant bike shop, really friendly guys, they take great care with their work and are super efficient! i was on a bike tour and i needed the bike to be fixed as soon as possible, they where able to fix my bent frame, tune my gears, service my brakes and fit me a new spindle all within two hours! thanks guys! I would highly recommend this bike shop!

Sadly I had reason to visit the Chain Donkey today, freehub issues. The team were extremely friendly, spoke English and were very knowledgeable. They took my TCR to sort the issue. Hopefully I'll have it back in a few days and will update my post. But full of confidence. Part ll I received the sms confirming my bicycle was ready, on the 3rd day. Unfortunately I wasn't in a position to collect it until the 5th day. The bike and the wheel is working like new. They explained in detail the work they did to it. They dismantled the free hub and repaired it, rather than just replacing it. I took it for a 52km cycle and it is working perfect. Top Marks to the Chain Donkey for all round service, knowledge and value for money. I'll be back boys. Thank you for your help.

On the last day of a 3-month bike tour I stopped by for a used cardboard box to put my bike in for the flight home. They were happy to provide me one for free. The first shop I contacted offered a badly damaged box for 40€ cash only. Chain Donkey is a class operation, you can see that the emphasis is on an old-fashioned love for bikes and repair rather than merely sales.

While changing the tube in the wheel they turned my bike upside down and scratched the handlebars and the bell, which were totally new before. When I complained, I was told that they never turn the bikes upside down, which is obviously not true, not even saying sorry. Never again!

The owner, cigarette somking lover like many people in Germany, of this shop is super friendly and helpful. Price of their service is reasonable. Everything they charged me was acceptable and cheaper than my place, Korea. Highly recomanded. I'll be here again. Very nice and cool bike shop ever...

Very helpful! And very accommodating... Everytime i go with some problem with my bike it generally gets fixed... Or i receive honest advise about whether it's worth fixing or needs to be replaced. And most importantly they easily understand my broken german, and also converse in english when my level of german language is not able to explain what i need! :)

The owner is very polite and helped me fix the issue which no other shop in the area did. Reasonably priced and very good service. Highly recommended for all your bike needs. I saw they dealing so patiently with other customers while I was waiting for my repairs.

Excellent value for money and service. I now realise, having previously been to a different bike repair place in sachsenhausen that I was totally ripped off by the other place as they charged me ten times the price for the same job as this place charged me. For small repairs they do it there on the spot for a very low pice. For big repairs you leave your bike with them. Very central location. Definitely go here and not to the other one in Sachsenhausen!
