The shop owner is very friendly and competent. He instantly realized what was wrong with my bike and helped me replaced the missing screw ( which had bothered me for some time). He also didn’t charge me. Such a friendly service. I will come back if I need more help with bike.

Went for some simple stuff. Took the bottle from the shelf and asked the owner is it for sale. He said "no, it's a present, take it". Wow!

Awesome shop, especially if you appreciate exclusive brands. Lots of really nice bikes and equipment that you wouldn’t find anywhere else, plus the staff is great. A very rare breed of bike shop. Found my cassette and had a delicious espresso there. Thanks, Jens (sorry if I’m misspelling)!

Owner's response

Thank you Felipe for your nice review, have a good ride! Christian

Had the drivetrain on my old Trek racing bike replaced. Very helpful, friendly. Great work, feels like a new bike or I am 10 years younger! Highly recommended for any serious riders.

Wonderful shop. I was dealing with the installation of a crown race that I could not get flush despite my best efforts. The mechanic (Jakob?) had my issue solved within minutes. I will definitely be back for any future bike purchases in Frankfurt!

Owner's response

Happy to be able to help! Especially if it‘s a quick fix like yours 😃 cheers from the workshop, Jacob

Brought my bike by, they picked up some several problems overlooked by another local bike shop. Worth the wait for the appointment and well worth the money. I noticed today my scrappy bar tape has also been replaced, fantastic attention to detail. Thank you!

I came here based on all the great reviews that I've read. I was trying to determine whether I needed to buy new lights or not. The lights got power from a generator, and I believed there was something wrong with the wired connection. I asked to borrow pliers so that I could try crimping the wire for a better connection. I was troubleshooting for not more than 2 minutes, when the guy said "sir, this is not a self-repair shop.", and wanted me to go outside in the freezing cold. I told him that I might need to buy some parts from you (such as another set of lights), but for that comment, I'm going to buy parts elsewhere, and I walked out. I ended up buying stuff at another bike shop instead, just because of the attitude.

Owner's response

Dear Mike Weller,

You're right: we're not a self-service workshop. Nobody is allowed to repair their bike in our showroom; we have a workshop service for that.

I don't go to the hardware store and build myself a doghouse, do I?

Kind Regards

Dear Mike Weller,

You're right: We're not a self-service workshop. Great shop. A bike shop run by people who actually cycle and like it! First time there a guy [appears to be the owner] rocked up on his bike and asked me if he could take a spin on mine. He even brought it back.. Got advice on shoes, the recommendation was that the shoes that would fit my feet best were not in stock there and I should try a list of other shops. Bonus points for that...great service rather than €€€ chasing. Next time I visited I needed to borrow a long allen key to get my pedals off, I'd broken my bike tool trying to remove them. No problem they said, her you go! Extra bonus points for lending tools. No big selling, just great advice and a great service from cyclists for cyclists and everyone else who wants to propel themselves forward.

Visited the shop to see if they had any bikes to rent. They didn’t! However, the owner, Marco, very kindly lent me his old Giant road bike and made some adjustments so it fitted me better. He didn’t want payment and simply asked for a donation. I mean, where does this happen these days?? This is genuine, kind customer service and humanity. The bike store had a decent range of bikes for sale with some clothes, helmets, shoes and lots of accessories available. Highly recommend Flame Rouge bike shop 👍
