I had a terrible experience with this shop. I left my bike for a simple tune-up on Feb 25 and was promised it would be ready in 3 days. Weeks passed with no updates, unanswered calls, and repeated false promises. When I visited in person, no work had been done—twice. I lost over two weeks of riding time for a basic service. I do not recommend this shop; there are far more reliable options nearby.

We, eight Australians, took a bike tour from Frankfurt to Koblenz on rental bikes from Shokes/Eckenheim. The customer service was fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff made it very easy for us to organize our 'Rhine Tour'. Even last-minute requests like helmets, extra panniers, tools, etc., were no problem. The bikes were in excellent condition. Superb service that we highly recommend.

Best bike shop in Eckenheim! Okay, it's also the only one. Still, I'd go here even if I didn't live around the corner – they've always been incredibly helpful. Even long after closing time, the guys kindly and expertly lent me their in-house air pump, and they even adjusted my saddle (free of charge!). They also gave me a detailed explanation of the type of valve my bike has, and now I have enough expertise to pass that knowledge on. If it were possible, I'd definitely give them six stars ;) Thank you so much!

I bought my "JobRad" (company bike) from this bike shop a while ago. I was very happy with it even back then... friendly and competent staff! The advice is excellent and transparent. The shop is also very well organized... my bike is due for a service, so I emailed ahead to schedule an appointment. As soon as I arrived, an employee came by with a printout of the email, greeted me, and the bike drop-off was done in two minutes. 🙂👍

Everything was satisfactory! I was able to pick up my bike within a week. Prices were completely reasonable and fair. Very friendly owner and employee (gray hair). It's best to call ahead to see if they have capacity for new repairs, especially at this time when everyone wants to ride their bikes. Right at the Penny in Eckenheim.

Excellent service. My bike needed a new gear shifter. And that was on an Aldi bike! You often get complaints about those. But not here. I'm absolutely delighted, the bike rides perfectly again. Highly recommended.

I chose Shokes bike repair because their initial phone estimate was lower than other bike services in the area. On-site, I received very competent advice; they even took the time to explain everything in detail, demonstrating their expertise. All agreements were honored, and my bike rides better than before. I would wholeheartedly recommend Shokes to my friends; I have absolutely no complaints. 👍🏼 Card payment also went smoothly.
