I was in the shop in Mainz with my wife and have never received such good and competent advice or experienced such friendly and courteous employees. Shopping here is really fun 🤩

I'm not reviewing the shop, just the employee! Since the employee was busy, we took a look at and touched some shoes. He then said, in an unfriendly tone: "This isn't self-service; I'm assisting two customers and will help you in a moment." When I asked, "But looking is allowed?" he replied, "Just looking, not touching." So far, that was still somewhat tolerable. Unfortunately, he added the unpleasant comment: "I learned that from my mother; looking isn't touching." I took it as if we hadn't been properly raised. Such an inappropriate, arrogant, and condescending remark to a customer is unacceptable. The employee probably thought it was funny! We didn't, and we left the shop without saying anything.

An extremely unfriendly and arrogant employee in this store. It's simply disappointing how a reputable brand with a good reputation tolerates such staff. I ordered a wool fleece jacket specifically for delivery to the store, as it wasn't in stock, and I still really want to support local businesses. When I arrived, the package was handed to me with such arrogance, and I was treated like dirt. I was asked to leave the store to try it on, with the explanation that anyone who orders online doesn't receive any service there. For this, I drove 70 kilometers (one way). Home delivery would have been cheaper and less stressful. After I confronted the employee about his behavior, he sang, as is customary at a Mainz carnival, "Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh..." as I left the store. When I called Schöffel directly, I was informed that the Schöffel company is not responsible for the stores. This is also a way to ruin your good reputation.

We regret this.<br><br>However, we cannot let your review go unanswered, as it is untrue.<br><br>After internal review and verification by Schöffel, we found that no order was placed in our online shop for in-store pickup under the name Müller, the name provided in your complaint, or for the jacket you described. Therefore, the incident you described could not have occurred in our store.<br><br>Customer satisfaction and comprehensive advice are our top priorities! I went to the store again today with my husband and, of course, found what I was looking for. Even though Mr. Giegold wasn't there, it was another very pleasant shopping experience. Thank you, Mr. Zentgraf, for the friendly service.

I bought expensive shoes, but unfortunately, they're causing me foot problems. When I went back to the store hoping they might take them back, the salesperson was very unfriendly from the start. It was completely unnecessary. I asked very politely. I didn't find him particularly friendly when I bought the shoes either.

We went there completely clueless, just to get some information about hiking boots. Matthias Fröder gave us fantastic advice. He showed us what to look for, we tried them on, and he explained the correct lacing technique, etc. We had three consultations that day, and this was by far the best. I would definitely buy from them again. Best regards
