I took my 5-year-old coffee machine to the Repair Cafe on November 1st, 2025. The retailer would probably have told me today that I should throw it away and buy a new one. The helpful and friendly men took great care of the coffee machine and got it working again. Thank you so much! I highly recommend the Repair Cafe!

My Samsung CLX-4195fw multifunction color printer, displaying error code #A1-4111, has stopped working. A quick Google search revealed that this error code is a common problem with Samsung printers. A small magnetic coil, available on Amazon for €10.95, is faulty. I brought the replacement part to our Repair Café at the Tausendfüßler community center on Saturday, May 4th. The friendly repairman quickly transformed the roughly 35 kg (77 lb) heap of junk into a perfectly functioning printer. Thanks again, Thomas! (I contributed a reasonable amount to the donation box for his time. It was still only a fraction of what a Samsung service technician would have charged.) That's sustainability! Before and after the repair, I enjoyed coffee and homemade cake at the Tausendfüßler center (the sandwiches always look amazing, too), and had a great time chatting with everyone. Nicole and everyone else are a really great group. Here you can combine practical work with truly wonderful experiences and conversations with the Tausendfüßler (a local group).
