I had several minor issues to fix, many of which individually fell more under "more comfort" than "the bike simply doesn't work," and I literally arrived with a list—items like: wobbly saddle, chain replacement, gears very stiff, etc.—with the attitude of: let's see what we can do. The problems were taken seriously and resolved to my complete satisfaction. I've had very different experiences at other bike shops in my life ("The gears still work" [yes, but only with two hands and a lot of force], "The shock absorbers are defective -> total loss, throw it away and buy a new one" [a colossal misjudgment of the bike's condition by an apprentice at another shop], "we might have an appointment in four months" [...next]). Special requests (pickup only after the weekend, invoice) were also no problem. The workshop consultation (before and after) took place in the back courtyard; just ring the bell for "Pavis." Communication was always friendly, professional, and customer-focused. I'm naturally curious, and Dorian (Pavis) always answered my questions wonderfully thoroughly, transparently, and with obvious passion for bikes. My various situational quirks (paper lists, special requests) were never met with disapproving looks, and the result is fantastic. That's the kind of workshop I want. I'll definitely be back! TL;DR: Wonderful workshop; ring at "Pavis's."

What a great guy! I spent two hours (upside down) working on my bike because the back wheel was crooked, and nothing worked. I called and was able to stop by on short notice. He loosened the screws while the bike was standing up, positioned them correctly, and tightened them. It took less than two minutes, and my bike has been working perfectly ever since. He didn't even charge me! If I or anyone I know ever has any more problems with their bike, I'll definitely come back.

"Professional Bicycle Repair" - A Review: The left crank arm on my two-year-old Raleigh bicycle had come loose. Dorian Pavis said it needed a new bottom bracket and that it was no problem; there was no need to upgrade to a higher-quality one, as the existing one was high-quality enough and usually lasts the lifetime of a bicycle. Unfortunately, the bottom bracket he installed didn't even last 100 km before the left crank arm first became crooked and then came completely loose again. So, back to Mr. Pavis, but again, he wouldn't reveal the actual cause of the problem. This time, they even consulted his father, who is a trained bicycle mechanic. Another new bottom bracket was installed, and this time, a new left crank arm as well. But it was all to no avail – after another 50 km, the left crank arm broke again. This time, however, Mr. Pavis was completely unhelpful and unwilling to provide any information: "Please don't bring this problem back to me; after several attempts, further repairs are no longer possible," and "We've had enough attempts here on-site," he said via WhatsApp. Of course, there was no refund. The next best bike shop I went to identified the problem in a minute and, for €30, disassembled the bottom bracket again and then corrected what the mechanic called an "assembly error." The problem was spacers that were too wide or unnecessary, so the crank bolt didn't have enough thread to securely fasten the crank to the bottom bracket axle. Therefore, I can recommend that everyone avoid making the same mistake I did and instead find a workshop that doesn't just use the term "professional" in its slogan, but actually lives up to it. A workshop where repairs aren't finished until the customer's problem is solved, not after two attempts. ... And no, my review is not a misunderstanding!

The repair was completed super quickly. Mr. Pavis is also very personable and goes to great lengths to fulfill all requests. Even my special request (a special tire) was no problem. The price was good, absolutely fair, and within his estimate of what it would cost. I highly recommend him to everyone!

In my opinion, I would advise everyone against going there. It's a total waste of time. The diagnosis was wrong, and then they gave conflicting information on the phone, claiming they didn't have the right tools for the repair. 🤔 Then I wonder why they call themselves a bicycle repair shop if they don't have the basic equipment. On-site, they said they didn't have time, that they were busy, and that the chain and cassette were defective. When I handed over the bike, I insisted on a test ride and a proper inspection to determine exactly what was wrong. This was done, but with false information. They didn't keep the agreed-upon appointment; it was scheduled for Tuesday, and I dropped it off on Thursday. It's just pathetic. On top of that, I asked them to remove the adhesive tape, which they didn't do carefully. In several places, the paint came off with it, and the tape residue wasn't removed either. Despite all this, they still charged me. 🤬 It's a complete rip-off. Never again! 🙏

Hello Nawid

It's a shame you weren't satisfied with the repair!

We charged €15 for the adhesive work, which took just under 30 minutes.

That's very fair of us.

You commissioned this service.

Adjusting the gears isn't possible before various parts are replaced; we've explained that to you several times.

Unfortunately, we don't currently have the capacity for that.

The teeth on your cassette aren't broken; we've explained that to you countless times as well.

We can't quite understand the basis for your 1-star review.

We wish you all the best for your future with your bike.

Unfortunately, we're very happy with your bike.

Owner's response
Hello Leo
Thank you for your feedback. This is the only way we can improve for our customers every day. We're sorry you weren't satisfied with our service.
As we understand it, the price of approximately €30 for your tube repair was too much for you, since your bike only cost €20, you said. You then wanted to take your bike back with you, unrepaired.
I think it was simply a misunderstanding.
If you have any further questions, our workshop team is at your disposal.
Regards, Bicycle Repair by the Professionals

I'm very happy with Dorian's advice and work. I could have picked up the bike the very next day at a great price. He seems very experienced and competent in what he does. My next bike will be coming to him for repair soon too! 😁✌
