Together with a friend, I had bought genuine Blundstone shoes in Australia over the past few years and wanted to do the same here. Not many shops carry them. We could have ordered from Blundstone Import or Amazon, etc., at favorable prices, with free shipping and the option of free returns, etc. But we wanted to support local businesses and so we came to Jügesheim for the first time. Two pairs of shoes, almost €400 in total… but not a penny discount, no option to pay by credit card. And when we got home, we discovered that I had been charged an even higher price than the recommended retail price. It's no wonder retailers are increasingly ordering online. Customers should also benefit from the convenience. ******** The explanation that the manufacturer had raised prices in the meantime is irrelevant, as the shoes we bought were out of stock. And customers must be informed of a price increase, especially since these shoes were already €40 more expensive than the ones I came for in the first place. ********************************************************************** ********* ********************** ********* *********************** ********* ************************** ********* ************************* **** ... Credit cards aren't accepted in the store, but if you order online from the same company, you can pay with Visa. Funny, right?! But at the same time, they're complaining about online shopping to customers in the store...

Hello Mr. Kraft, after four phone calls and a 45-minute visit to our store, you purchased two pairs of shoes from us, which we had specially ordered for you from Blundstone Germany for you to choose from. One pair were steel-toed work boots, which you ultimately didn't buy, but rather a different model that we had in stock. Regarding the price, Blundstone increased their prices by €5.00 on January 1, 2026, which is why we, of course, never sell above the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).<br><br>Let's make the world a better place! Great outdoor shop. We received friendly and competent advice for our long-distance trip. Everything from the right luggage for this trip to which clothing and footwear would be recommended for our specific needs to the right mosquito protection. They place great emphasis on providing needs-based advice with high levels of expertise, rather than just making a sale. We received many tips we wouldn't have otherwise considered. Anything they don't have in stock is reordered in no time, and we'll be notified immediately when it's available. We'd be happy to come back!

I was in the area visiting friends before leaving on a month-long cycle-tour. I discovered that I'd left my windproof Gore jacket back in the US. My friends took me to the SportAktiv shop in Rodgau, where I was able to find another Gore Windstopper, which worked great during my ride. (I was also impressed by the size of the shop and the large selection of quality gear.)

Very professional personell guides you through a fine selection of outdoor supplies. They also sell some rare and otherwise hard to get brands like Schiesser, Redwing and Blaumann. They never let me down on any of my wishes and anything they do not have currently in stock they can order within days. Highly recommend, even if it's only for a chat.

Sport Aktiv has a fantastic selection of gear and clothing. I found their staff to be quite knowledgeable and able to provide a sophisticated level of service. I highly recommend them. I am an American traveler and was pleased to find that Sport Aktiv carried specific undergarments and was able to recommend and fit me perfectly!
