Since I've been there twice now and have never been treated rudely or anything like that, I can't confirm the recent reviews. While it's not a typical, pristine bike shop, they get every bike, regardless of brand or where it was purchased, back in working order. And even for less than at another shop in Rüsselsheim. And yes, as you'd expect from a good shop, after changing the tires they still checked that the cables, etc., were okay, at no extra charge. Therefore, I highly recommend Murken Bike Shop.

I called spontaneously today to ask for an appointment. He was supposed to come by and take a quick look at the problem with my road bike. He was super friendly, checked everything immediately, and fixed the issues right away. I will definitely go back if anything needs repairing on my road bike. Small update to my post from 4 weeks ago: In the meantime, my wife's Ridley was also taken to Mr. Murken. He took his time addressing the problems with the Ridley, as there were many issues. He clearly communicated this in the phone call after I dropped off the Ridley to avoid any misunderstandings, explaining that he prefers to deal with such cases a little later to focus entirely on them. Just under a week and a half later, I was able to pick up my wife's Ridley. My conclusion is once again top-notch service, even though it required more patience this time due to the waiting time, but there were also quite a few issues that needed to be resolved. I maintain that I would entrust one of my bikes to Mr. Murken at any time; the discussions beforehand as well as during collection take place on an equal footing in my opinion, and if you communicate clearly with each other, there are no problems or disappointments.

I only wanted to take my e-bike to Mr. Murken's shop to get a quote for maintenance. He immediately gave my e-bike a thorough inspection and then carried out the maintenance right away (tightening screws, checking the brakes, checking and adjusting the gears, checking the bearings and chain, etc.). After half an hour, he was finished, and I was able to take the bike with me again. The price was really reasonable. I'm completely satisfied – I would definitely use his services again.

I was pretty put off by the reviews, but unlike other bike shops, he wasn't fully booked. So I tried my luck. The result: Friendly, competent, and he took care of the bike right away, and the gears didn't even need adjusting in the end. I'm completely happy.

Warning, warning! Absolutely the worst bike shop Rüsselsheim has to offer. Not only is the guy incredibly unfriendly and incapable of handling even the simplest repairs, but he also tries to push 20 other repairs on you. He talks a mile a minute about years of experience as a bicycle mechanic, but he can't even manage to open the cassette on my rear wheel. After complaining about my front sprockets, rear sprockets, chain, brakes, calipers, and a few other things being junk, he sent me straight out, saying he couldn't help me. Delete this list. So your training was completely wasted. Any other shop, even 20 km away, is better than this one with this guy in it.

Great service... After a crash, the gearshift was broken. We brought the bike in, it was repaired right away, and I was able to cycle home. Great! We received friendly service and even tips on how to prevent further damage to the gearshift... we'd be happy to go again 👍

He refused to repair my bike because it wasn't bought at a "specialist shop." In the end, he just started yelling and became rude. Absolutely not recommended. And I'd been there many times before with my old bike.

I really recommend Ralf for any bike repair. He fixed my front disc brake issue in 3 days and although I didn't request other issues in my bike, he cared all fixed and solved. I thought he was polite and friendly, and overall I was very pleased with the service I received. Someone who doesn't know him or doesn't understand his style may find him rude, but he does his job very well.
