I'm quite disappointed with the ski advice. Because of a bad recommendation for rental skis, I had to rent another pair during my vacation, as the skis I got from the Goslar sports shop were completely unsuitable for me. I mentioned this when I returned the skis, but unfortunately, I was completely ignored.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend them at all. They're happy to sell, but when there's a legitimate complaint... oh dear.

I turned to this local shoe store in search of a replacement for my virtually indestructible, 15-year-old Jack Wolfskin shoes, as I like to support local businesses. After 30 minutes of consultation and trying on various models, I settled on Meindl Nebraska. They were designed to last me another 10 to 15 years. They also needed to be robust, comfortable, and waterproof. Shortly after purchasing them, I went for a bit of a walk. My feet were wet (from dewy grass). I thought that couldn't be right. Two days later, one of the metal eyelets for the laces ripped out. I took it to the shoe store for repair. I thought I'd take the opportunity to complain about the lack of waterproofing. The repair was carried out by Meindl, but not in the way you'd expect these days. The shoe was destroyed, and a new one was delivered (thanks for the sustainable solution, dear Meindl. Not.). However, the shoe store refused to exchange the shoes for a different model due to the wrong product selection (no barrier membrane). I hadn't made it clear enough that I was looking for shoes with GoreTex (or similar). I countered that normally, if I, as a customer, had explained how and where I intended to use these shoes, it should have clicked with the salesperson. Unfortunately, the shoe store disagreed. They could have even exchanged the new shoes without any problem. But no. I disagree with this attitude and point this out to potential customers. Otherwise, the employees were polite and respectful, and the product range is balanced and diverse. I have nothing to complain about. I just think the service isn't quite up to scratch. It could be better. In any case, I no longer have the confidence that any problems that arise there will be satisfactorily resolved and will look elsewhere in the future.

After many attempts with rental ski boots from my local ski resort, my legs and feet were always badly sore. I wanted to rent boots near Goslar and received excellent advice! Instead of rentals, I was recommended to buy new ski boots! Since my requirements for ski boots are quite specific, I ultimately bought the recommended boots! The best recommendation ever! For the first time in years, no pressure points and a fantastic feeling of security – even on steep slopes! Thank you so much for the professional advice; I highly recommend this ski shop in the lowlands ;)

Very expensive, and hardly any children's area for regular sports like soccer. Very cluttered and packed, so browsing isn't fun because the shelves are too full. All in all, an old, dated store with no specialty departments inside. Things could be MUCH better.

I bought hiking boots online, and there was a small problem. However, this was resolved very quickly and courteously after a brief email exchange. Thank you! Other shops could learn from this...

This morning/afternoon, I received very friendly and competent advice from a young man. I wanted particularly wide shoes for my husband, and they also had to look good. He offered to exchange the shoes and give me a refund. After much deliberation, I bought a pair. I left them in the store after paying, as I didn't want to carry them around on my shopping trip. I picked them up later, and they fit my husband perfectly! Many thanks to the young man!

A well-stocked sports shop with friendly staff. This is the second time I've bought skis and boots here, and I'm very satisfied with the quality. The price was also very reasonable. I received good advice and found exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended!
