After years of feeling uncomfortable on my new touring bike, I went to Jörg Herrmann in Handeloh in 2025 and had it rebuilt after extensive ergonomic consultation and measurements. The bike was radically, yet very attractively, rebuilt. New stem, handlebars, and saddle. On the first test ride, I averaged 27 km/h over 40 km with 50 mm tires and was immediately convinced. Since then, I ride faster, more efficiently, but above all, without shoulder and neck pain. Jörg lives and breathes cycling, finds a solution for almost every problem, and offers custom-made Patria bikes. I can only offer my heartfelt thanks to Jörg.

I was genuinely surprised to find a bicycle dealer in the Lüneburg Heath (far from the city and quite a distance from my home in Schleswig-Holstein) who offered me (severely mobility-impaired since a serious training accident on a racing bike) professional advice, sales, and service for a recumbent bike. Forget any reservations: Jörg is cool, competent, and friendly—THE man for all (cycling) situations. I say: The trip to Handeloh was well worth it!

The bicycle workshop has been our trusted workshop for Patria bikes for four years. When one of our Rohloff derailleurs failed during a cycling tour through Latin America and Rohloff offered no international support, Jörg and his team proactively contacted us via WhatsApp, ensuring we didn't have to cut our trip short.

I arrived at the workshop 15 minutes before noon with the drive wheel on my Decathlon city bike halfway replaced. 22 minutes and €10 later, the peripherals were rebuilt and the rear wheel replaced. They also gave me advice on the lifespan of my drivetrain, along with the expected costs. I couldn't have expected more. Now I understand the 5.0 rating on Google Maps. Great service 👍🏻 We had a flat tire while on vacation and, of course, didn't have anything with us to fix it. We were able to come over right away, and the bike was ready in half an hour! Thank you so much!

Very friendly, truly fair prices, and honest advice. Absolutely fantastic. I hope the shop stays open in the future. I also wonder why there's no longer a sign outside on the main road. But that's beside the point. The services are simply superb. :) Update, March 2025: I've become a regular customer, and the quality has never diminished. I'm so happy with the bike repair shop in Handeloh and the advice they provide. I highly recommend them for their expertise and advice. Even if you're from Hamburg, you should consider choosing this shop with its very fair prices! You guys are absolutely top-notch!

This is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. I've rarely seen a bike shop with such concentrated expertise. The bikes and bike parts sold here are of the finest quality, and you essentially get a complete, worry-free package. I've never regretted a purchase or consultation here. The motto is always: hop on, ride, and feel great! They don't try to sell you anything you don't need, anything that will break quickly, let alone overpriced items. So, it's absolutely recommendable even for beginners; everyone will find something to their liking here. Furthermore, the ergonomic consultation is exceptional and alone worth a 100% recommendation. This is what makes cycling truly enjoyable!
