Last week, my partner and I visited Biketime to get some advice on the right frame size for her, as we're planning to buy road bikes soon. From the start, we made it clear that we weren't looking to buy or lease anything that day, but just wanted to gather information. Despite this, the salesperson took an incredible amount of time for us. We were able to test ride several bikes, and he even changed the pedals for each one to ensure a perfect fit. He also compared the frame geometry of each bike. That's really not something you can take for granted. The consultation was incredibly competent, relaxed, and very friendly. You could tell that they truly value good service, even if you don't make a purchase right away. Thank you so much; we felt very well taken care of!

After an overpriced gear cable replacement, I've now discovered that the thread on the screw used for an unintentional brake pad change is stripped. This is an absolute outrage and also dangerous. Beware of this shop (the one that holds the brake oil).

Excellent and very thorough advice! They really listened to the customer and didn't pressure anyone into buying anything. Biketime was recommended by a friend, and I'm happy to recommend this shop as well. Thank you for the wonderful shopping experience.

Highly recommended! I bought my first gravel bike here. Lars gave me comprehensive advice, and I was able to take my bike with me immediately, including the pedals, bottle cage, lock, etc. That's fantastic!

A fantastic, modern bike shop with superb service! They specially mounted the frame size I wanted and reserved the bike for me. I especially appreciated that I could test ride both frame sizes – that way I could make a completely confident decision. Since I had a long drive, they're shipping the bike to me free of charge, which I consider exceptionally customer-friendly. Great service – I'll definitely be back! 🚲👏

Now for my recommendation for BikeTime, or: how to do everything right when you don't quite do everything right. Object of desire: Trek Emonda SL6 2024 in 62cm, only available here. 260km from home. I went there on Saturday without an appointment and was able to test ride a comparable bike immediately without any restrictions (Many thanks, Noah, great job! The guy at Rose, where I was an hour later, could learn a thing or two from him). I asked for three days to think it over, but I still finalized everything with Noah for the purchase via bike leasing. It was no problem to specify any changes; upgrades like chainring, brake rotors, and tires were no issue, even if they did delay the delivery a bit. Admittedly, communication via email required some patience, but the waiting time was always reasonable, and the communication was complete and seamless. I didn't need a comprehensive briefing at pickup, but I could have easily had one. ``` But where the wheat was separated from the chaff, at the very latest, was in how problems were handled. My first ride ended disappointingly after 15km; the crank had seized up. After a quick phone call, the necessary replacement parts were ordered as a precaution, and I was able to drop off my bike at short notice and wait for the repair on-site (almost impossible these days). Andy got my bike back in working order. The shop was very busy that Saturday, and since I also wanted to avoid the holiday traffic, I headed straight back onto the highway without saying a proper goodbye. During the drive, I received a call from Stefan to check if everything was alright, to clarify exactly what the problem was, and then to offer me some compensation for the inconvenience. Since issuing a credit note for a leased bike isn't straightforward, we found another solution that left me, as a customer, very satisfied. In summary, top-notch complaint management, top-notch staff, although I can primarily only comment on my direct contact with Noah and Stefan. These guys know how to treat customers. During the drive, I received a call from Stefan to check if everything was alright, to clarify exactly what the defect was, and to offer some compensation for the inconvenience. I'll gladly make the 260km trip for an inspection, offer my recommendations, and roll back in three years at the latest, hopefully (if Trek will allow it) to choose a Madone 😉 So all that's left for me to say is: Thank you very much, keep up the good work, and consider opening another store with this level of quality up here in the far north. To everyone else: Direct sellers certainly have their advantages, but when it comes to service, advice, and support, they're now completely falling behind.

bike leasing nightmare - avoid if possible Tried to pick up my preordered bike but was surprised with a different configuration than expected and agreed on. Took more than one our to get the bike (half of) the state I ordered it - rest I did on my own at home. Some minor optical issues (rim logo not in line with wheel logo etc.) but some serious problems with front brake (only partially breaking - safety issue!!!) and rear disc break (making noise). No (not even plastic) pedals to give it a try or move the bike to a different place. Away from the bikes the bike parts a overpriced wich is fine for me if you offer good service - wich the place don’t Sorry to say but costumers nightmare experience! Even wrote an email after to give a second chance but again no action taken. Avoid if possible!

Owner's response

I rode 300km for my new TREK Checkpoint SL 7. BikeTime is THE paradise for cyclists with a passion for exclusive bikes. Eike guided me enthusiastically through the purchasing process. Anyone who goes here should take the time to browse the aisles. There, you'll find one highlight next to the next. I'll be back for a Pinarello road bike. I'm already looking forward to it. Thanks for the great shopping experience, your new fan, Christoph

Owner's response

I ordered a Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 late on a Saturday from Biketime. I knew they were closed Sunday and Monday, yet I still received information and a confirmation of payment on Monday. My bike was delivered to Frankfurt by Thursday! Not only was the shipping extremely fast, the ordering extraordinarily simple, but also the bike was wonderfully packaged and everything was already assembled except the handlebars. I was out and riding within only a few hours after it arrived. Oh, and the bike is a DREAM!! I am so in love with how well it rides and how fast I can rip across these forest gravel roads. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Biketime! Thank you!!!

Owner's response

Hi Megan, thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're thrilled that we could bring you so much joy with the Trek bike. We wish you lots of fun and exciting rides with the Checkpoint. Best regards, your Biketime team.
