Mr. Brandt certainly does impeccable work. Communication, however, is a bit difficult. On the one hand, like many dealers, he complains about online shops and their low prices, but I actually use online shops because I don't need a workshop for every small repair. Workshops are often too expensive for the bike's residual value, and on the other hand, it often takes a long time to complete the job. I've now had a repair that failed, so I went to Mr. Brandt with the new components, and as soon as he noticed that I ordered parts from a terrible internet site, he treated me rudely, even though I explained my situation to him. My advice: just stay friendly and not accept the order. But stay friendly. And if no one repaired anything themselves... You seem to have full order books. What would happen then?

Thank you for the feedback and the kind and fair review.

1. Brandt is spelled with a "DT".

2. You clearly didn't understand my explanation!

- Your bicycle: The rear wheel was removed, and you had attempted to repair the gears, which was clearly unsuccessful.

Conclusion: We declined the job not only because you bought the replacement parts online, but also because you wanted to replace the brake pads yourself after the repair.

What happens if you pick up your bike and have an accident due to defective brakes?

Then we're liable!

There are certainly other repair shops that operate this way. We don't!

And that's why you're not a customer of ours.

We will, by the way, have your review checked!

We rented bicycles here as a large group. The front brake was practically non-functional/defective on well over half of all the bicycles, and this was true for all bikes of the same type. The rental company's only comment was: "Yes, it barely brakes, you'll have to use the coaster brake." The fact that this results in much slower reaction times, significantly reduced braking power, and renders the bicycle unsafe for road use (not even two functioning brakes!), was conveniently ignored. I strongly advise against using this rental company; the defective front brake is extremely dangerous. It's very difficult to pull and offers virtually no braking power. The fact that these bicycles are therefore illegal to ride on public roads is the icing on the cake.

We rented two unisex trekking e-bikes for three days and reserved them in advance via the online portal. Ms. Brandt responded to emails immediately. Excellent! The bikes were ready and waiting for us on the day. Although the rental shop is closed on Wednesdays, we were able to return them at the agreed-upon time. The e-bikes were in very good condition, and we made good time. 😄 Thanks again for the walking directions back! 👌😀

No replacement of the crankset due to the existing warranty... Unfortunately, they refused to repair my (almost) new e-bike because it was still under warranty, which in this case would transfer to your company (Fahrrad Brandt)... I've never heard of that, and the defective crank isn't even covered under warranty – but whatever – there are other fish in the sea. I went to another bike shop. There, the repair was no problem... Why would I ever buy a bike from them with service like that...??? All I can say is: "You never get a second chance to make a first impression." You call ahead, describe the problem, tell them the model, and they tell you to bring the bike in so they can take a look... If you don't want to do the repair, you should say so honestly and not resort to fairy tales...

Buy an e-bike at the hardware store, mess it up during assembly, and then demand service from the specialist shop.

If they say "NO," write a bad review.

At our specialist shop, we are happy to offer service to "our" customers.

Ick sech dat mol ob Platt: Klei mi an Moors. We rented two bicycles for a week from Fahrrad Brandt/mietrad 24 in Stade. We received two very well-maintained bikes that perfectly met our expectations. The expert advice provided by Mrs. Brandt was particularly noteworthy. We would definitely rent from them again next time.

Renting the bikes went really well. The bikes are in excellent condition and run like a charm! Unfortunately, we got a flat tire on our tour. We quickly called the Brandt family, gave them their location, and a replacement bike was brought to us in no time. What fantastic service! We would come back anytime. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Very friendly and competent service. We rented a premium men's and women's bicycle with 24 gears for two days. Very suitable for sporty people; even for my height (187 cm), the correct frame size was available.

Last Friday, I was out on a bike tour with a group in Stade when, shortly after we started, my chain came off the sprocket. Luckily, it happened right where Fahrrad Brandt is located. Even though it was their lunch break, they helped me immediately, and it was free of charge! "We consider this a service we provide!" Mr. Brandt told me. While the repair only took a few minutes for the mechanic, such helpfulness is still not something you can take for granted! Thanks again!

Our family planned to spend two days exploring the Altes Land region by bike. However, the mood was dampened by a broken bike rented from Brandt Rental. The bike broke after 20 km (!!) on a Sunday. The rear wheel locked, and we could no longer ride. We tried several times to contact the rental company by phone, but were unable to reach anyone. One part of the family waited for several hours with their bikes, while the rest cycled the 20 km back to their accommodation to pick up the car. In the evening, Mr. Brandt called back and, without giving us a chance to explain the situation, loudly and rudely demanded that we return the bikes to the rental shop IMMEDIATELY. He even threatened to get a lawyer if his instructions were not followed. He also explained that it was his goodwill to rent us bikes on a Sunday.... The rental company's website states that all bikes are subject to regular maintenance standards. However, it was noticeable that the second rented bike also made a clattering noise. We are very disappointed that this rental shop, in a tourist and bike-tour-heavy area, does not show the slightest accommodatingness or friendliness.
