Mr. Berger was extremely accommodating and flexible with scheduling when my tenant's refrigerator broke down. Communication was respectful and efficient, and the company as a whole was very accommodating regarding the subsequent circumstances.

I've been a customer for years and after today's visit, I just wanted to leave a review highlighting all my positive experiences. No matter what the issue, all the staff, especially Ms. Wahle, are always ready to help and advise. They make everything possible—it's simply a pleasure to shop there. And if you like, they also serve a wonderful cappuccino—better than in a café. Please stay as special as you are!

My mother is 87 years old and has been a customer of Wilhelm Daume GmbH for over 50 years. Today she wanted to buy a new dishwasher there. The salesman kept her waiting for a long time, making phone calls, doing paperwork, and completely ignoring her. Not a single "Just a moment, please," not a single friendly word. When he finally said a curt "Yes, please," and my mother quietly remarked, "Finally," he became rude and insulted her, saying she could see he was busy and that he no longer felt like serving her. My mother left the store hurt and without the desperately needed dishwasher. After decades of customer loyalty, that was her last visit there. This is no way to treat customers, especially elderly people. We will now receive the new dishwasher within four days from another retailer—friendly, respectful, and customer-oriented.

A lovely shop with a great selection of household and decorative items. Very friendly staff. I often buy birthday or Christmas presents there; you can always find something nice :)

We are very satisfied with the service and advice. One of our kitchen appliances suddenly stopped working (after 32 years). We found a replacement at short notice at Daume, and due to the urgency, it was delivered the very next day. From now on, we can do the dishes again, and the upcoming family celebration has completely lost its horror. Thank you!

We bought a new Miele washing machine on the strong recommendation of an employee at Daume in Bergisch Gladbach after he told us the old one was beyond repair. The employee, of course, knew that he worked for a massage business where many towels were washed with oil. As a result, the rubber seal on the bull's eye broke after about a year (so far, on every machine we've had before) and needed to be replaced. We knew that. Here, however, it was broken after just a week. We complained to Daume. They told us that we were a business, so the warranty wouldn't apply. So, in a way, it was our own fault. Besides, they had nothing to do with it. We should contact Miele. We did that. A Miele technician came, but he didn't have the rubber seal with him. We explained the incident, and the technician suggested we contact Daume, since they had sold us the machine. The most outrageous and brazen part is yet to come!!!! The managing director of Daume (who was contactable in the meantime, since we complained to Miele) offered us, as a gesture of goodwill, not to charge us for the installation and travel costs; we would ONLY have to pay €240 for the rubber seal 😡😡, which, however, wasn't expected to be available until mid-October 🤦🏻‍♂️The machine was delivered on September 8, 2025. The invoice for the machine arrived the next day. That was a breeze. But we still didn't have the rubber seal. We then got it ourselves from another dealer in Cologne for €80. The audacity is beyond compare. We could almost get a new washing machine for that, from a different manufacturer. We will never buy anything from Daume again!!!!! We'll be speaking with our lawyer soon and then decide whether to pursue recourse against Daume. We now have a different machine that works perfectly ☺️, especially the service!

We always have all our family's bikes serviced and repaired at the Daume workshop. We are very satisfied and appreciate the friendly and personal service. Many thanks to the staff for their work, which we highly recommend.

A rip-off. I can only warn you!!! I actually wanted to buy two new tubes for my bike and wondered if the number refers to the valve length. I should wait a moment, okay, you do. The next two customers who came after me were probably more interesting with their curiosity about the e-bikes in the showroom, as they asked me to be more patient. I eventually left. Simply saying "yes, that's the length" or "no" would have made me happy. Later, at home, the family learned that their new built-in refrigerator had a coolant leak shortly after purchase, and the repair was delayed for so long that the warranty expired and they suddenly had to cover all the costs incurred. Then they argued with the seller protection center for weeks, which was justified. I can only warn you again: be careful! They use different measurements!!!

We dropped off our e-bikes at Daume for inspection yesterday. We received a very friendly welcome and were immediately helped to bring the bikes to the bicycle department. A preliminary check was carried out in our presence. Today, the very next day, we received a text message informing us that our bikes were ready for pickup. Upon pickup, we were again greeted and served very warmly. We can only praise the Daume team (including the friendly lady at the checkout) and will be happy to return to Daume again. W. and M. We bought a pressure cooker and a frying pan at Daume's the day before yesterday. As always, we received friendly and expert advice in this store! It's always a pleasure to browse and shop there. With Easter just around the corner, many items were beautifully and tastefully decorated for the season! Our parents always bought household goods at Daume, and we've always been very satisfied with everything, for example, our e-bikes and our fully automatic coffee machine. Local businesses need to be supported!! So...we'll definitely be back to Daume's.
