I went to Radsport Schmitz this morning without an appointment to have my chain tightened. They helped me immediately, even though it was quite a complex job (Rohloff 14-speed hub gear). I also found Mr. Schmitz to be friendly; he has a unique and honest manner. If you're not looking for anything fancy, this is the place for you. Their prices are incredibly reasonable these days. Thank you so much for the quick repair; I'll definitely be back.

I think this shop is fantastic! My bike (an e-bike with a completely broken chain) was repaired immediately. I've never experienced that at any other bike shop in Bonn! Usually, they require appointments, like patients with statutory health insurance going to a specialist, or you have to leave your bike in the workshop for an indefinite period... The prices are also reasonable. And as for Mr. Schmitz sometimes having a rather short fuse... good grief, the man should be repairing bikes, not looking after a colicky newborn for days on end. A little more acceptance of a wider range of behaviors is also part of living a diverse society.

I had my gravel bike repaired by Mr. Schmitz and I'm absolutely delighted. He's an outstanding expert with a wealth of experience; you can immediately tell that he works with genuine passion and competence. I understand that his direct, honest manner isn't for everyone, but that's precisely what I appreciate about him. If you prefer a more diplomatic approach, you might want to go to one of the big chains, but then you'll also face correspondingly long waiting times. Mr. Schmitz tells it like it is, without any fuss, but with great craftsmanship and fair prices. It's precisely these kinds of small, independent workshops that deserve our support, so that there are alternatives to the big chains. I'll definitely be back! You're wonderful, Mr. Schmitz!

The best bike shop in Bonn, and the owner is always up for a fun experience. If you can't stand his attitude, you can always go somewhere else and wait three months for an appointment, only to pay double or triple the price. He's always open and honest, something many people lack these days, and criticizing him is a bit weak. I've yet to experience a bike shop in Bonn where the owner pops out, takes a quick look at the bike, adjusts the brakes perfectly in two minutes—free of charge, no less—and then wishes you a nice day on your way. Thanks again for the quick help!

THANK YOU! I got a flat tire and was turned away by several shops, but this one literally saved me. In 10 minutes, at a reasonable price, I was back on my bike.

Very, very fast service. I thought I'd have to come in the next day, but the repair only took 2 hours. I'd say it was more than I expected to pay, but overall I'm satisfied. I read the other comments about the owner being rude, so what? I guess he can go about his business however he wants. He actually installed a doorbell for me without charging me any money, which I think speaks volumes. Thank you very much.

I had my brakes repaired there a while ago. The repair was quick, the price was fair, and the brakes are still working perfectly. I especially appreciated that they let me keep my bike overnight since I couldn't make the originally arranged evening pickup. I'm happy to recommend this shop!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you were satisfied.

Money spent out for nothing. My tire was flat, he took me 25e to change the tyre, and just one day later, it was flat again. When I came back to ask, he immediately shouted at me, and said he didn’t know what the problem is, and would not look at it for free. Very terrible the way he treats customers. I went to another store, and the technician said that this guy did not work properly, cause there is still something deep inside and that made the new tyre broken. You better go a little bit further to Wiesenweg 28, the owner there is nicer and far more skillful than this one.

Flat tire, no warranty should be clear, right?

The owner seems as a professional, no doubt about that. A concrete attitude to the customer, no fancy service stuff. You bring your bike, tell what the problem is, you pick it up the next day, you pay, you thank, and you go. The owner (as was told by himself) dealing with bikes for 30 years. Excellent pricing policy. Definitely suggest to concrete people which know exactly what they want from the shop.
