I arrived there without an appointment with a broken lamp (it was snapped off), it was repaired the next day at a fair price, very friendly owner.

Update to my review! I needed a new shift cable and a derailleur adjusted. The tone on the phone was quite flippant. I was told on the phone that the shifter was defective and that ordering a replacement SRAM shifter wasn't possible due to a lack of suppliers. I then ordered the shifter myself from Amazon and installed it without any problems. I was quite disappointed. Customer service should be better, sorry.

Dear Mr. Sperner,<br><br>Unfortunately, we do not have spare parts for your model for a potential cross-exchange, nor do we have a supplier relationship that would provide us with support or documentation, as is the case with Shimano, for example.<br><br>Ultimately, this also raises questions of warranty and liability.<br><br>Amazon and the countless counterfeit products sold there are of no help to us in this regard.<br><br>Larger bicycle shops are certainly better equipped when it comes to American manufacturers, and therefore it would not be a problem for us if a customer with an American bicycle visited a shop that is better suited to their specific needs.<br><br>Since you have visited the shop several times and have had absolutely no problems with the service or advice you have received, we consider criticism of a service that we do not offer or provide to be inappropriate and reserve the right to investigate.<br><br>We are happy to face critical feedback, but only for services that we actually offer or have provided.<br><br>It is a shame that we have lost you as a customer.

Super nice bike shop! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! My repair was completed quickly, and my bike has been running great ever since. Fair prices and a really pleasant atmosphere – I'll definitely be back!

Excellent service! We took our son's bike to Mr. Kopinski. We were able to drop by without an appointment, and the bike was ready the next day. Everything was fixed perfectly at a very fair price, with helpful advice and a very friendly and straightforward process. We are so happy to have such a friendly and competent bike service in Mehlem and will definitely come back with our next bike that needs repairs. Thank you so much!

There's nothing better around here. I just called and got an appointment right away. They repaired my flat tire on the spot. I decided to get new tires. The prices are fair. A very good experience. Very competent. I'm satisfied. Thanks to Felix!

Great shop and fast service. We arrived, explained the problem, and they immediately helped us with the front wheel and the new spoke. Really great, and we'll gladly bring our other bike (e-bike) here for a check-up.

It never feels quite right when you know you're rolling into the repair shop with a real "old treasure"... NO, it's not exactly a valuable "bicycle classic" either... Sure, it was once a really great brand-name bike, and I've even been asked about it on the ferry (what kind of special bike it is that they don't make anymore...), but that's pretty rare ;-) What's less common is that bike repair shops have politely declined at the sight of my "treasure" and quickly sent me packing with the words, "There are no spare parts for that anymore, I'm afraid I can't help you" :-( Not so Mr. Kopinski: When I made it clear that I was attached to the bike (a gift from my parents), all he had to do was be honest and say he didn't know IF or WHERE he could get the replacement part for the gear shifter – DEAL :-) And less than 10 days later, I had it – completely repaired! - Pick-up: He managed to get the cable for the gearshift in England!!! Really cool, Mr. Kopinski! It's great that you have your business here in Mehlem, and THANK YOU for your exceptional commitment to this! I'll be back and will gladly spread the word about your efforts, see this post here ;-) Until then, all the best and continued success!
