Great bike shop. Called in the morning, explained the problem. Dropped off my bike at noon, and it was repaired the next day. The price-performance ratio is absolutely unbeatable. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back for my next repair.

Highly recommended. I went there twice with minor issues that I couldn't fix myself. And they helped me immediately and without hesitation with my bike :) Fantastic! Even though I hope I won't need it anytime soon, I would definitely come back.

For me personally, the best bike shop! I got an appointment for a service on my road bike the very next day. I received a warm welcome, and the bike was thoroughly inspected. We discussed what needed to be done and, quite honestly, also mentioned what didn't need replacing. Unfortunately, during the service, it turned out that the bottom bracket and crankset were causing more problems than initially thought. Other shops had either covered up the problem or downplayed it. Up until then, I'd never really received any help. But then I was contacted, and we went through the options. With great dedication, Stefan actually managed to find and fix the cause. You could tell right away that he gives a lot of love and attention to the bike. It was just as important to Stefan as it was to me that the bike be 100% ready to ride again, without any compromises. He invested a lot of time and effort so that I now have a road bike that rides exactly like it did on day one. Thank you, Stefan!

A bicycle repair shop just the way you want it (and there are sadly too few of them). I received extremely prompt, expert, friendly help at a more than fair price. Highly recommended. Some of the other reviewers would probably be better off at one of those e-bike superstores. Thank you.

Very friendly owner. I brought my Prophete e-bike (a cheap, cheap bike from a hardware store). Unfortunately, not everyone can repair those. He took the time to address all the problems and fixed them all within a week. Even things I thought were impossible to fix. The overall price for everything and the excellent work was fantastic. I'll definitely be back!

Addendum 3: To date, I still haven't received a receipt, despite the owner promising my husband last week that he would send it to us – a fact that quickly exposes the owner's empty words. Genuine people keep their word... here, that promise was repeatedly broken. Addendum 2, five weeks later: Over an hour ago, I used your contact form again to request the receipt (the email begins with "su-k..."). Please do not delete it again and finally comply with our request. My review, as well as my husband's, is merely an honest report of our experience with your service. If you are unable to respond appropriately to customer inquiries, you should seriously consider whether you are suited to customer service. MFG Addendum: My request, sent by email four weeks later, for a retroactive receipt for the work performed for €70, because I had initially forgotten to do so in the excitement, was not honored. I had paid €70 for the repair of the rear fender, the realignment of my handlebars, the installation of a new bicycle bell, and the adjustment of the brakes. ... The work performed at the workshop was of good quality, but I have a few comments regarding the customer service: I was originally assured that the workshop would contact me on Tuesday, but this didn't happen until a day later, after my text message inquiry. So, after sending a text on Wednesday morning, I immediately received a response that my bike had been repaired. The owner apologized and explained that the delay was due to illness. So far, so good. Upon picking up the car, my husband pointed out that the brakes also needed to be readjusted because the handlebars had been adjusted, and he made this comment while the owner was adjusting the handlebars. Unfortunately, the owner, possibly due to his illness, was unwilling to listen and said to my husband in a very harsh tone, "Stay out of it!" My husband then left the workshop in a huff, which I could understand very well. Although the owner then explained to me during the handlebar adjustment that this was not meant to be unfriendly, but rather goal-oriented, I found it inappropriate and excessive, and thus over the top. His unfriendly reaction has now led us to decide not to visit the workshop as customers again, despite the good work he did. It would have been sufficient to say, "Yes, I'll adjust the brakes as well; I'm the expert," instead of unnecessarily silencing my husband. Despite the high quality of their work, there's room for improvement in their customer service. It's a shame, because this discrepancy has now turned an otherwise positive experience into a negative one. It's unfortunate, but it has to be said. Dear Bickendorfer Bikeshop, please consider this constructive criticism! Best regards!
Owner's response
Dear Ms. Veltman,

Yes, that's almost exactly as you described it. I would just like to add that we were both working on finding a new riding position for you. You sat on the bike to find the correct position of the stem and then the handlebars, which would then be the ergonomically correct riding position for you. I explained to you and your husband when we took your order that everything would need to be readjusted.

I was also immediately aware, as you described, that a little more tact would have been appropriate, especially given your husband's temper, which led him to leave the shop in a rage. Unfortunately, I lacked any tact that day—it was my first day back after covering for someone, despite my ongoing illness and lack of sleep, but especially since the day I handed it over, when your husband kept interrupting you, was still fresh in my mind. :( I would have liked to say something that day; the constant interruptions were annoying, but I was still feeling well and thought, "You'll just have to live with it." You mentioned that your husband sometimes has problems with the local mentality. I don't want to make excuses; my brusque tone was inappropriate! Therefore, I completely understand your reaction. It wasn't customer-friendly and isn't in line with my business sense.
Thank you very much for this message. You know it bothered me, so it's not something I can just ignore, and I promise to do better next time! I'm very pleased that, despite my service and effort, we were able to achieve a very satisfactory result for you, and that you now have the correct ergonomic seating position and a technically sound bicycle. You can ride. That's what it was all about!

I'm very sorry that, despite our very friendly and respectful interactions, you allowed your personal opinion and assessment of me to change, and I'm afraid I can't count you among my future regular customers.

The door remains open to both of you, and I would be very happy if you would choose the right specialist workshop again should the need arise.

I wish you all the best for your future journey together, and many trouble-free rides.

Sincerely, if you wish, your Bickendorfer Bike

Sincerely, if you like, your Bickendorfer Bike

Reply to the owner: Mr. Legrand, I would like to clarify that my wife's review was simply intended to describe the current situation: the protracted wait for a receipt, which has now lasted over five weeks. The accusations you are making against us are completely unfounded. If you simply delete customer inquiries in your form, seemingly without reading them, you cannot blame us for this when we are merely stating the facts: that we still have not received a receipt from you. Sincerely, After careful consideration and consultation with my wife, I would like to address your response to our review from four weeks ago. It is important to me to respond appropriately in order to protect my honor and the truth, even though I usually have more pressing matters to attend to. Nevertheless, I do not want to leave your response uncommented. I would like to emphasize that I was by no means "furious," as you claim. I simply felt compelled to leave the workshop rather than continue to endure your rude behavior. Had I actually been in a fit of anger, my reaction would certainly have been different than simply leaving your workshop with the words "I'm leaving," which my wife unfortunately couldn't do. Your remarks about my alleged temper seem inappropriate to me and are clearly based on prejudice. It is regrettable that my behavior is being judged based on my Brazilian heritage. Such stereotypical assumptions are not only unprofessional but, above all, demonstrate a lack of tolerance. Furthermore, I regret the harsh tone and personal attacks in your response. This is more than inappropriate. As a professional, my wife and I expect you to focus on providing your services. Your response to my wife does not adhere to the principles of respectful interaction and raises questions about your professionalism. We accept your apology for your conduct in this matter. However, I must also address the insults you made in your reply. We both find your remarks about me inappropriate and malicious, especially the exploitation of my wife's innocent comment that I've already experienced problems with narcissistic behavior here in Germany, solely to portray me as the aggressor. Your apology seems to be rife with excuses, which casts doubt on your sincerity. Such statements not only damage your credibility as a business owner but are also rude. Thank you for your offer to keep your bike shop open. However, my wife and I understand a "proper workshop" to be one where customers aren't prejudged and respectful treatment is a given. Because of these incidents, we will certainly not be using your workshop again. A suggestion: In the future, if you're not comfortable, it would be wise to keep your workshop closed. This would have saved us the trouble of paying someone who judges us in this way. Furthermore, I'd like to emphasize that what you did was nothing out of the ordinary; This should be standard practice for a professional repair shop. After the incident with the cash payment, my wife, in her upset with you, forgot to ask for a receipt for the €70. Therefore, I kindly request that you send it as a PDF or photo to the email address she will provide next week. This will save us from bothering you again personally – thank you in advance. Finally, I wish you all the best for the future and continued success in your customer service. Please note that no further response beyond the requested receipt is necessary if you wish to make amends. Sincerely,
Owner's response
Dear Veltmann Family,

I would gladly send you the forgotten receipt as a PDF and am awaiting your reply. Unfortunately, I am unaware of having received an email address from you. It is possible that I recognized your message as such, perhaps not immediately recognizable by the email address, and then accidentally deleted it. I sincerely apologize for this and kindly ask you to resend your contact information to the bike shop's email address.

I also request that you refrain from making such insinuations, claims, and accusations in the future that I am not fulfilling my financial obligations.

Sincerely,
Andre

Very friendly and competent service. I was here for the first time today because I had problems with my rear tire. The problem was diagnosed very quickly, along with other issues the bike had. I'm really impressed and satisfied. Finally, a bike repair shop nearby that's also so competent! The owner is super friendly. Thank you so much! 🙏🍀
