I picked up my Ampler bike today. They installed a new display, repaired the gears, and performed a service. Mr. Heinsohn and his employee were very friendly, and the work on the bike was carried out correctly and on schedule. The display was still under warranty, and the service and gear adjustment cost €93.00. I think the price-performance ratio is perfectly reasonable. This is a small, owner-operated shop where the customer isn't just a number. Keep up the good work!

Worst experience ever. This place gave me a quote for 36 euros to repair my lights. Then at pickup they said the lights were harder to fix and it’s 70 euros. They didn’t call to ask if they should move forward or not. Do not recommend to fix your bike here, unless you have unlimited resources. Also, he offered to take everything off and threatened that “maybe something else will break overnight”. Good luck!

If I could give six stars, I would. This summer I was riding the European divide and ran into some nasty rear hub issues near Köln. I asked a few shops who were unwilling to help. But Karsten was willing and ready to help and went above and beyond. He got My bike back to me within a day and I rode 2,500 more very rough miles on that hub and it’s still going. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Indeed a bit arrogant and not so friendly staff-owner. By accident I had a package delivered to that address and the owner made me give a tip for receiving my parcel and hold it for half day. His reason “I had to stop working for those minutes to receive your parcel and time is money” Other times I had the idea to just go there and give the workshop another chance to service my bike or ask for parts. Simply not recommended as the owner charges more than other workshops and takes longer for any repair. Is not the first time I hear the unfriendly treat from the owner and the greedy prices on the shop from other local residents on that street or area. Good luck with your experience once there.
