I just wanted to check out Straede clothing today and was immediately blown away. As soon as you step into the shop, your heart skips a beat as a cyclist – and I've seen quite a few shops in over four decades ;-). Great selection, fantastic atmosphere, and guys who know their stuff. Absolutely top-notch and highly recommended!

Super friendly and competent team, rides in the summer (mixed and women's) and the best coffee to boot. Always worth a visit! I would buy my bike here again and again and felt very well advised regarding bike leasing.

If you're looking to buy a road bike in Cologne and the surrounding area, there's no alternative to the guys at BoBikes. I ordered two bikes last year (a road bike and a gravel bike), and they met all my expectations. Excellent service! I bought an Orbea road bike from BOBIKES a few days ago and I'm extremely happy with the entire buying process with Luca. From the geometry check on the trainer to find a bike that fits me perfectly, to finding bikes that fit my budget, right through to picking it up and getting a bike fitting. Luca always took plenty of time to explain things and make adjustments. I'm thrilled with the purchase experience and I'm sure the ongoing support will be just as good.

Unfortunately, my experience wasn't so pleasant. As a passionate mountain biker, I intended to delve into the world of gravel bikes and wanted to buy one, including all the gear I needed. During my Saturday visit to the store, I rode up on my mountain bike. While they took a close look at the bike I was demonstrating, they showed little interest in my concerns. Unfortunately, they were very disinterested in asking me what I wanted. This ultimately led me to buy a gravel bike, including accessories and clothing, worth €8,000 from another brick-and-mortar retailer in Cologne.

So far, everything's been great! I recently had a gravel bike and a road bike repaired and worn parts replaced there. I always received a quote, but in the end, I always ended up paying (three times) less than originally announced: for example, €40 instead of €120. I can't confirm the experience of others that work was billed at a higher rate without prior notice. I've always been treated kindly. Scheduling an appointment is easy, and the work has always been completed quickly. What I also like is that they also accept bikes for repair that weren't purchased in their shop (in my case, Cannondale and Cube). I've also always received good advice and information. The exchange is on an equal footing and not preachy. These latter aspects are often a problem in many places these days. Based on my positive experiences, I now have friends who will bring their bikes there: Canyon, Storck, etc. I could also well imagine buying my next sports bike there.

A top-notch bike dealer for road and gravel bikes with a team of people who are obviously passionate about cycling themselves. In my case, I mainly dealt with Luca before the purchase and with Ben during the pickup, including the bike setup tailored to my needs. Thanks for the advice and service! I discovered BoBikes because they also carry Ridley bikes. While searching for a road bike, I saw a good-priced offer for a Ridley bike at a chain store that starts with X and ends with L, but only via mail order. I wanted to see and test ride a potential new bike in person. I then discovered BoBikes as an authorized dealer through the Ridley website and—long story short—after two or three consultations, I discovered the Orbea brand, specifically the Orca model series, which BoBikes also carries. In addition to the friendly advice, I was also impressed by the service, for example, the fact that a bike fitting was included, meaning individual adjustments to the saddle height, angle, and position; shoe cleats; handlebar height, brake levers, etc. Even before ordering, there was a brief fitting to determine the correct frame size and, if necessary, to order a different stem, shorter cranks, and/or a different handlebar width (these items can be selected from the factory at no extra charge). At first, I only wanted the entry-level model in the Orca series, but then I spent more than I had originally intended, which was only indirectly due to BoBikes. After learning more about the technology and model variants, I would have definitely been disappointed in retrospect if I had only chosen the entry-level model. The color also played a role. Since the entry-level model comes with electronic shifting, and this was new territory for me, BoBikes was able to explain everything to me and allay any minor concerns. I've only had the bike for three days, but it was a top choice, and BoBikes has set it up very well for me. It's my first road bike (I've only ridden mountain bikes before, and for the past two years I've had a gravel bike that was far too big due to poor advice from the aforementioned bike wholesaler), and I feel completely at home on it. I was able to ride it confidently from the very first kilometer, always with a certain amount of respect and foresight – the latter, of course, is needed every 100 meters in Cologne ;) Thanks again to BoBikes!
