Sorry, but I can only agree with all the negative reviews. I will never set foot in this store again. The service is terrible! And the discounted prices suddenly no longer apply at the checkout... the store owner should be ashamed of himself!

Dear Sir or Madam, I hereby submit a complaint regarding the following matter. Less than four weeks ago – at the beginning of May – I purchased shoes for my son from your store, which I wanted to return today – at the end of May. At the JD store in the Chorweiler City Center, my claim was rejected on the grounds that material fatigue is not a recognized reason for a return...with the specific note that JD only reimburses for selected types of damage. I was told that I would have to prove that the shoes were not intentionally damaged...which, in my opinion, contradicts the German Civil Code (BGB)...the retailer must prove that I, as the customer, intentionally caused the damage...etc. In short: very regrettable and incomprehensible to us personally, especially since I bought my son, who is now 11 years old, his first new pair of shoes, which he had previously only worn to school. I think this is a real reason for JD and you as a retailer to reconsider your policies... ...I'm only familiar with the general right to a refund or exchange, and that I'm actually entitled to something like a replacement or refund... ...that JD is showing so little flexibility or goodwill here is, in my opinion, not very customer-oriented...a real shame.
