The left crank arm of my trusty old bicycle broke. The staff at this family-run business repaired it and offered a comprehensive inspection. Everything was reasonably priced, incredibly fast, and the service was very informative. I can't recommend this shop highly enough.

Very nice communication during the order request and during the drop-off and pick-up of the bike in need of repair. Regarding the costs, I would perhaps recommend getting a quote or estimate in advance. Of course, a workshop has fixed costs, personnel costs, taxes, and so on... But: For example, I paid €49.50 for a handlebar tape wrap - I think that's a good hourly rate, although for an experienced expert (and that's exactly why I didn't try it myself, but commissioned it...) it should probably have easily been done in 10 minutes at most. I paid €66 to replace two shift cables for the gearshift. That would have been an even better hourly rate, although for an experienced expert, it would never have taken an hour of work. But whatever the case, I could have asked beforehand. The service and friendliness are top-notch in any case.

I dropped by spontaneously without an appointment. Normally, the workshop only has openings for major repairs in about five weeks, I was told. I wanted to have my inner tubes replaced, front and rear, and I also asked them to check the tires. I had previously tried unsuccessfully to inflate my tires with a less-than-ideal bicycle pump. The mechanic honestly told me that I should invest in a decent pump before buying new tubes, as my existing tubes were still functional. Unfortunately, I can't judge this myself, and in the past, I've had experiences with workshops that took advantage of this by performing unnecessary repairs. Therefore, I was very pleased to receive an honest, professional assessment here! They were also very accommodating and offered to quickly complete the additional minor repairs, as I would otherwise have had to wait longer for an appointment. It was also very convenient that they inflated my tires on the spot, allowing me to continue straight to work. I then bought a good bicycle pump there for about €40. The services billed were communicated transparently, and the overall service was very good. I will be bringing my bike here for repairs more often in the future and can recommend Master Max!

Great service, great price. My bike was repaired and updated superbly. I had to wait a long time for an appointment—based on my review, probably even longer ;) But everything was done in one day. I'd be happy to come back. Parking is a bit tricky, so I recommend the Rewe store 500 meters away.

I took my VanMoof S3 to Master Max and his team and I'm very satisfied. The workshop is certified and offers expert advice, especially for VanMoof models. They have a good selection of spare parts, and the inspection was carried out quickly and professionally. The costs were transparent at all times. This shop was so fantastic. I had a flat on a Friday afternoon on my way into Köln. My husband and I walked my bike to the shop and I was fixed in an hour. We are traveling in our camper so it’s our mode of transportation. Meister Max saved the day… thank you so much for your help.
