I can't understand the bad reviews. I had my Prophete e-bike repaired there (other workshops wouldn't even look at it). I was completely satisfied. They replaced the chain, the rear sprocket, and the gear shifter. The price was reasonable for me. So I'm very happy and will only take my bike there from now on.

Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend them! In March 2020, I went to Fahrrad Wächter to have a new rim built for my rear wheel with an internal gear hub. Initially, they were very friendly and provided good advice. The verbal estimate seemed accurate. After about five days, I was able to pick up the bike. Unfortunately, the price had almost doubled, with the explanation that the initial estimate only covered the labor. Well, misunderstandings happen, and I willingly paid the higher price. Good work should be fairly compensated. Unfortunately, the owner wasn't even willing to admit that he had misspoken. But that was just the beginning of my troubles... Around June, on my way home from work, I noticed a wobble in the rear wheel. The spokes broke one after the other in a very short time, forcing me to push the bike. The owner initially took the bike in, somewhat surprised but willingly. Perhaps it was a material defect in a batch of spokes. After a week without any response, I called. They hadn't gotten around to repairing it yet. And anyway, they told me it wasn't covered under warranty. They claimed I had misused the bike or that someone had kicked it. In reality, I only used the bike for my daily commute to work on paved bike paths. The bike was always parked in inaccessible locations. With similar use, my old bike had lasted six years before being trampled and destroyed once, after being left at the train station. However, since the Corona lockdown began in March, I hadn't parked the bike in any such places during that time. Only after I threatened legal action and pointed out the warranty obligations, emphasizing that the burden of proof lay with the service provider during the first six months, did the owner reluctantly agree – but then immediately added: I had to clean my bike beforehand, otherwise he would charge me for the cleaning. Okay, no problem. I picked up the bike that same day. The discussions continued immediately afterward. The owner claimed to have seen a girl earlier that week sitting on another girl's bike rack—that this would damage the spokes. I simply waved him off, saying I didn't see what what two girls were doing had to do with my bike. I took my bike, cleaned it, and returned it almost two hours later. The next episode promptly followed: it would take another one to two weeks. I wasn't satisfied with that either, since I had already waited a week, and even the original repair had been completed in less than a week. Once again, I had to request reimbursement for a loaner bike for my daily commute and set a two-day deadline. The owner apparently accepted this, and I left the workshop. Surprisingly, two days later, I received a call informing me that I could pick up my bike. It's been working perfectly ever since. In summary, I think this supposedly professional business had simply overextended itself. The shop was practically overflowing with bikes being repaired. I'm still annoyed by the owner's audacity and avoid the shop to this day, which is why I'm writing this review now. It's a shame, really.

Competent advice, fair prices!!! I visited so many shops and ultimately chose this workshop based on my gut feeling. And rightly so! Both bikes were fixed in no time. And in terms of value for money, it was the fairest workshop! I can highly recommend it to everyone!

Competent and fair advice. Fast and expert repair. An employee called in between because he had noticed some wear and tear. He suggested a pragmatic, cost-effective solution. The employees all seem to be avid cyclists and know their stuff. I highly recommend this shop.

Impressed by all the positive reviews, I thought: This will be my new trusted bike repair shop (after I move). But when I called today about a problem with a new Canyon bike and wanted to drop it off for repair (I already have manufacturer approval to cover the costs!), I was told to take my problem elsewhere. They (and I quote!) "simply don't want to deal with such crap...". We're talking about a rubbing and squeaking brake. The mere conversation they would have with me would be a waste of time, and nobody would pay for that. I'm speechless. I haven't been treated so rudely in ages, and I didn't even try to negotiate the price (since the manufacturer is paying anyway)! It could have been a good experience, but definitely not like this. I can't say much about their competence, except that apparently all brakes except Shimano are crap.

Excellent store/service provider. Perfect service; your bikes are always in good hands here. The annual service is carried out reliably, everything is explained, and any questions are answered. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and you can also purchase individual parts separately if needed. Friendly contact person with excellent expertise. Excellent store/service provider. A truly fantastic shop. The owner is great and the staff is incredibly friendly. The advice and service are outstanding. The overall atmosphere was always very pleasant and inviting. I'm still completely satisfied with the bike I bought there. Come to think of it, it's about time for a little service. ☺️

I can't comment on the quality of the advice or expertise of this shop. What I will say, however, is the unfriendliness with which I was greeted. My wife's bike was no longer roadworthy. When a customer isn't even allowed to park their vehicle in the spacious driveway for a minute to get a broken wheel out of the trunk and is arrogantly told to immediately find another parking space, then I form my own opinion. I found a friendlier dealer not far away.

I've bought various spare parts for different bicycles here several times before. This time, my bike was making an extremely loud creaking noise. The workshop quickly found the problem: the hub dynamo was defective. The support and advice for finding suitable spare parts was very competent, exceptionally fast, and reasonably priced.

Excellent bike repair shop and store with great advice. We've bought several bikes here and are very satisfied. They've also reliably and quickly fixed all our bikes.
