How unfriendly and arrogant can a salesperson be? After the friendly employee had given me advice and I wanted to go into the store, white Nike sneakers caught my eye and I asked for help from the salesperson who started yelling at me like a toddler (even in this case it would be unheard of) that I should keep my hands off the shoes and that only he was allowed to choose the size and give them out (and I only wanted to look at the price (I didn't have my glasses with me)!) Oh my God, he became rude, loud and impertinent! Now I know why people prefer to order online instead of dealing with salespeople like that! These stores will never survive like this!!!

Rude, outrageous, hypocritical Today I bought two pairs of shoes at the street festival in Cologne-Sülz. One pair was for my daughter, who's currently in London. I got a 20% discount, and a very nice lady gave me some care tips. The cashier was remarkably friendly and funny. I left the store and sent my daughter a picture of the shoes. She told me she'd bought a very similar pair today. So, I went back to the store and, just five minutes later, wanted to return the pair. I was told so rudely, "Tough luck, discounted items are non-returnable." Okay, that may be true, but it was only five minutes! I'm very disappointed with how they treat their local customers! Neither I nor anyone in my family will ever set foot in that store again. I'm sorry for the really nice lady who gave me such great advice; she was wonderful.

I bought running shoes and received excellent advice from a friendly employee. She took her time, showed me several models, and asked about my needs (running style, frequency, and anatomy). Therefore, I gladly give the store 5 stars. Apparently, if you interpret the reviews correctly, you just have to pick the right day when the customer-unfriendly male colleague (owner?!) isn't there ;-)

I wanted to exchange shoes I bought yesterday, unworn and in the box, due to an injury. It's only possible with a voucher... (could an exception be made?) Yes, an exchange is a goodwill gesture... but if you're sent home like that after over 30 years as a customer... that customer won't be back! I'm happy to support all the stores you can still visit... but unfortunately, I'll have to shop online after all... 🤷‍♀️ This isn't about the potentially higher price!! The advice was very good! I'm injured and unfortunately can't use the shoes for a while now 😢

Extremely unfriendly and unprofessional! Never again. They assume you only want to try things on and then buy them online. They charge a €20 consultation fee. Unbelievable.

Street festival in Sülz. My family and I were strolling around when I remembered my son needed some flip-flops (Adiletten) for practice. Outside, the shop windows advertised 10% off already reduced items and 20% off everything else. Okay, so I popped in with my son to look for some flip-flops. After a brief, relatively friendly consultation with the owner (?), things took an unpleasant turn (don't forget, my 10-year-old son was with me). I mentioned that there was already a 20% discount, to which he replied, "10%." I pointed out that the item wasn't already reduced, and he explained that the fine print was at the checkout. I then retorted that it was rather unfriendly to lure people in only to offer completely different items than those advertised outside. I said, "Well, once they've lured customers in with that enticing offer..." to which he immediately replied, "I don't need to lure anyone in here." So, still feeling good, I went to the checkout with my son and asked where the fine print was. He pointed to a slip of paper listing things like socks and accessories. For him, the flip-flops fell under accessories. I said it was getting more and more ridiculous, to which he replied that he didn't want to sell to me anymore and that I should leave the store. He became downright rude and loud, regardless of whether there were colleagues or other customers in the store. Very upset, I left with my son and went back to the street festival, where I told my wife about it. I'll now order shoes online, and yes, stores like that simply don't understand how to retain customers. Both of our children are very active in sports, but I certainly won't be buying any more sporting goods from that store.

The service was really very friendly, and the employee took her time. I needed a rainproof jacket at short notice, found one, and hope that the claim that it will keep out the rain for an extended period is true. BUT: I just did some research (which I would have done beforehand under different circumstances) – the jacket costs up to €100 less at all retailers, large and small! I don't mind spending a little more in brick-and-mortar stores because I want to support local businesses – but the price difference is just ridiculous. Therefore, I won't be shopping there again.
