Unfortunately, I have to agree with the negative reviews. My daughter wore a shoe in the store around 5 pm. We bought the shoe at 5:40 pm. This morning I wanted to return it, but they said that wasn't possible because the shoe had been worn. Yes, that's right, it was tried on right there in the store. So, you'd better put shoe protectors on them, as the floor in the store isn't clean. And the shoes are considered worn after just one try-on. Not recommended.

Unfortunately, your description does not reflect the facts: According to your own statements, your child's shoes were already worn outside of our store, both on the way to the bike and on the way home. Therefore, they are a used pair of shoes with signs of wear. For hygiene and legal reasons, we cannot resell such shoes as new, which is why a return was not possible in this case. We can't understand the bad reviews, because we've always been satisfied. We've been buying shoes for our child there for years and always feel welcome, and our child feels comfortable too. In another shop that specializes exclusively in children's shoes, our child wouldn't even go in anymore. Here at Boogen, our child is always happy, and children always notice who is friendly and has a good heart... We gladly come back and sometimes even pay more than the online price to help keep a shop like this going.

The reviews are partly very bad!!! That doesn't surprise me at all. It's well known that there's no right to exchange a purchase. Especially not a shoe that's been reduced by 5 euros. On the same day, at Dissmer's Neutor branch (friendlier staff), I saw a shoe that cost more than twice as much and that I liked much better. Customer service???? That word is completely foreign to them, even within a single day. Arrogant, haughty, and completely disinterested saleswomen from Bogen in the pedestrian zone are delivering the final blow to the shoe store. Management, don't you see and realize that our cities are slowly dying out and one shop after another is closing down??? Hello, refusing double the profits, where's the logic in that???

Very friendly and helpful service. Nice ladies, great selection. I bought my first pair of New Balance shoes. Everything was perfect. I'd gladly come back!

After almost 50 years, I'm finally back in Dinslaken, walking down Neustraße, reminiscing. Back when I was a little kid, I'd go to Boogen with my mom to buy shoes. How I loved the wooden slide. And today, I peered through the entrance and told my wife about the slide, and—I thought I was dreaming, it looks just like the slide... And indeed, the thing is still there. Kudos to Schuhhaus Boogen, which brought back my memories. I just didn't dare go on the slide today...

My husband and I were asked today, while buying black men's shoes, if we would like to purchase a small jar of "special" shoe polish for €7.00. We repeatedly declined, and then discovered at home that the ridiculously overpriced shoe polish was included in the shoe box. We had noticed at the checkout that the price was a bit higher, but we couldn't imagine that this long-established store would resort to such tactics. We felt completely ripped off. What a shame!

We offered your husband the appropriate Delicare shoe care product for his high-quality shoes, which, as we understood it, he wanted to purchase. I was always a happy customer, but the last few visits are a complete disgrace. My girlfriend bought an expensive bikini for her vacation. However, it went up two sizes after the first use. When we tried to exchange the bikini, we were fobbed off with silly excuses. Excuses like "it's worn" or "you can't exchange a TV whose picture you no longer like after three months." Even the suggestion of a voucher for a fraction of the purchase price for this store was rudely rejected. It was the last time we bought anything from this store! It's no wonder the retail industry is going under! So, in technical terms, is a bikini being compared to a TV whose picture you no longer like? Or is the blame being placed on the coronavirus, and the fact that no complaints are possible during the coronavirus pandemic? Unfortunately, we have not experienced any attempt to find a goodwill solution in your store.

We've been buying our shoes here for years (hiking, casual, and office) and have always been very satisfied. Competent and friendly service, a decent selection, and very customer-oriented even when a problem arises. Highly recommended!

I've been a customer for many years. I've bought a lot of shoes here, even just a few days ago. I'm always very satisfied. The selection is huge. They always have the latest shoe styles. The shoes are of the best quality. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They always give excellent advice. I'd also like to mention that my husband is a satisfied customer as well.
