Excellent craftsmanship – terrible service. The quality of the repairs is good; there's nothing to criticize about the workmanship. Unfortunately, the way the staff treats the customer spoils the overall impression: unfriendly, irritable, and unapproachable. You get the feeling that you're not welcome as a customer at all. It's a real shame, because with a friendlier approach, the Radgebiet workshop could be a really good place to go. The prices are reasonable, though not exactly cheap.

My mother also had a bad experience with the repair shop. After three complaints, the bike rides even worse than before. The "you again" remark was uncalled for. She will never have her bike repaired at that shop again.

Competent, appointments are kept, and major repairs are discussed in advance by phone. They performed true miracles on my father's ancient e-bike (truly true)! Of course, it takes a while to get an appointment—word of mouth is good. 🙂

I took my bike in for its annual inspection last week. The appointment was kept as agreed, any necessary major repairs were discussed over the phone beforehand, and I was even able to pick up my bike the same day. Two minor issues that arose afterward (not caused by the workshop) were resolved quickly, courteously, and promptly. Thanks, I'll be back! ;-)

...I also have nothing good to report! First of all, the booked time slot for the inspection wasn't honored, and when I inquired, I was rather rudely told that it wasn't a guaranteed time anyway. I decided to pick up the bike that evening anyway, much to their surprise! They then told me that the front and rear brakes needed to be completely replaced and that the cassette was loose on the rear axle. The next day, I went to a different workshop, where they came to the following conclusion: The front brakes were perfectly fine, but the pads on the rear brake were worn down to the metal. They should never have let me ride that bike on the road! Regarding the cassette: They discovered that a spacer that was too small had been installed, which meant the cassette wasn't properly tightened – the only question is how such an undersized part got into the bike – apart from the "Radgebiet" team, no one else had handled my bike! That same day, I asked the Radgebiet team if they could fill out the inspection report for me, as I would like to submit it to Jobrad. This was refused!! They claimed they hadn't charged for the inspection, therefore there's no report!! Their exact words: "That's it for us!" That says it all! I will absolutely never take my bike to that workshop again!!!

An unpleasant experience: Two employees were initially reluctant to be interrupted while chatting with a customer. This was followed by curt lectures on how customers should behave. A clear answer as to whether a flat tire could be repaired by noon the next day was unavailable shortly before closing time – a real shame! While their technical expertise may be considerable, their customer service skills definitely leave much to be desired.

I was generally satisfied with the inspections and repairs at the RadGebiet workshop. However, the service could be significantly improved. I often had to wait a long time when dropping off my bike for repairs, and I always had to check myself whether my bike was ready for pickup. Proactive notification from the workshop via phone call or email, as originally promised, as soon as the bike was ready for pickup would significantly improve the service. Furthermore, the inspections seem to only perform the absolutely necessary work, and I noticed that some screws were not tightened properly. This is disappointing, especially since I purchased my bike directly from the RadGebiet shop. Compared to other workshops I've used, RadGebiet offers a less comprehensive and attentive service.

After replacing the chain and cassette on the rear wheel and optimally adjusting the gears, my bike rides like new again. Thank you for the excellent service and helpful advice. I'll definitely be back if needed.

So, the bike shop and its workshop are absolute experts! Excellent advice and completely reliable. I test-rode my e-bike there and they fitted it to me like it was made just for me. The workshop is also straightforward; you make an appointment and just need to drop it off, but I think that will go smoothly. In another matter, they immediately provided an equivalent and suitable replacement! All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend the bike shop with the Orpin family and their workshop with its master mechanic (yes, a master bicycle mechanic!). If there were more stars, I would give it 10/10! Update May 16, 2023: It's been confirmed again: if you buy locally, you won't be disappointed and you can drop by again if you have any problems, big or small. The workshop is truly excellent! During the first inspection, a manufacturing defect was discovered on the fork that I hadn't noticed! It could have ended badly, but it didn't! The bike shop immediately contacted the company and restored the bike to like-new condition, installing a completely new fork at the manufacturer's expense. As mentioned above, the staff in the showroom and workshop were absolute experts. I haven't regretted it at all, and we even bought a second bike there, which is also a perfect fit!
