I had to pay €59 to have brake pads changed (mind you, only on one brake). (For your information: This took about 3 minutes in the shop, and I then had to readjust them at home because the brake pads were rubbing against the brake disc.) I was even told that this was a "special price" for me. When I said that I was shocked by the price and hadn't expected it, I received a very unfriendly response and was angrily asked to leave the shop.

I've been a loyal customer of Ricci's for over 20 years and have bought two second-hand road bikes from him during that time: an aluminum Cannondale and a carbon Focus with Shimano Ultegra components. As a very frequent cyclist (up to 12,000 km per year), I rely on the expertise of an experienced and competent mechanic, and in all this time, there hasn't been a single technical problem that he couldn't solve with his excellent expertise. I recently experienced this again when a novice cyclist carelessly cut me off in Lecce (Apulia) and ruined the frame of my lovingly maintained Cannondale. On the way back, I was able to get a replacement in the Palatinate region, and it's now back in its gleaming red glory thanks to his dedicated service. Thank you, Ricci! ... Unfortunately, he's been showing signs of frustration lately, triggered by the lack of understanding from walk-in customers who don't appreciate quality and want it for next to nothing, or who are increasingly losing patience with nonsensical technical innovations from the Far East and are considering going elsewhere. God forbid! Please, Ricci. Regards, Hans-Dieter

Excellent service and they were there immediately! I couldn't adjust my gears myself before the bike race. They let me come in right away. Now everything is perfect! Thank you!

Just turned up and Ricci checked over my track bike that everything was ok after not having used it for 4 years on the track. He checked over everything including tubular tyres and all bolt tightness. At the end he didn't want to take anything for it. What a service, really recommend!

During my first service appointment, communication was not only difficult, but the bike and its geometry were ridiculed as being from a cheap bike. Based on recommendations, I gave Ricci another chance to service my rear wheel. I had to call several times to find out that the spare parts were unavailable. After more than a month without any response, I easily ordered the parts myself and had the service done elsewhere. Unfortunately, I don't understand the discrepancy between the recommendation and the service, as my experience was truly abysmal.

Ricci Sports is a must-visit site for all vintage and specifically vintage track racing enthusiasts. Richard Pratt has been track racing for many decades and has an extensive experience, encyclopedia of knowledge, together with a unique collection of very special track bikes and memorabilia which he graciously and patiently shared with me. He also sells modern carbon bikes if you are in the market for a modern steed. Ricci Sports is worth your time to visit.

Highly recommend! It's an awesome place to buy or fix your bike! Ricci helped me with bike fitting and gave a bunch of useful advice.

Awesome shop for new or used race bikes and if you get the chance to chat to Richard about his career and collection of old bikes you are in for a treat.

Succeeded in fixing really annoying squeak coming from my S-works bottom bracket, where two other bike shops failed.
