I highly recommend Sport Thelen if you're looking to buy hockey equipment. They have a wide selection of hockey sticks, which you can even try out before buying. They also stock everything else you need, like pads, shoes, balls, grip tape, bags, and clothing. So it's worth supporting your local business, even if you're not from Düsseldorf.

Unfortunately, I can only give it 2 out of 5 stars. I'm a hockey player myself and often have to go to one shop to get new equipment. I thought Sport Thelen would be perfect for me. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the case. They're closed three days a week, and on the days they're open, the opening hours aren't really fair. There's also no proper website; only incorrect information about opening hours. The staff is friendly, but as soon as there are more customers in the store, you often feel uncomfortable or not well treated. I wouldn't recommend it, I'm sorry!

However, we must admit that opening hours are currently challenging for us due to a staff shortage in Düsseldorf. Our dedicated local team is trying to accommodate this as best we can. We are also not happy with the current situation and would like to be open more often again. We are working on it.<br>Sport Thelen is now part of the Hockeyfriends Group, which also has locations in Neuss, Cologne, and Essen. The merchandise they had was for ice hockey clubs! Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for; I was searching for a leisure jogger. What a shame! ®️🔞

Dear Mr. Winiarski, thank you for your feedback.<br><br>We are not a shop for ice hockey equipment, but for field and indoor hockey.<br><br>It's a shame, however, that you only gave us three stars because we don't carry an item you would have liked. Unfortunately, this isn't our fault. We are a specialty store that specializes primarily in club services. Therefore, we offer a wide variety of sports and training clothing for specific clubs. Some of these items can also be purchased without a club logo. It's a shame that you didn't find any of them.

First of all, I have to say that I think it's great that there are still small, privately owned sports shops that are available to help and advise you. However, I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. Firstly, I found the price for stringing a racket, for which I even brought the strings myself, a bit excessive, to put it mildly. €30 is simply way too much. Unfortunately, due to my vacation, I was forced to rely on the service. Our club coach was appalled, to say the least. There was also no small marking indicating the tension of the racket. I've seen that everywhere else!! Tip: Service at Bundesliga BW Neuss for €15 or anywhere else! Not here! Too bad

Dear Mr. Urban, we are sorry that you are so disappointed. We are just as affected as everyone else. Our company employs highly trained professionals. Your racket was strung properly and professionally. The process takes at least 30 minutes, and our machines are significantly more expensive to purchase than those of a coach who strings rackets at home in their garage. Furthermore, you always receive a receipt from us. After deductions, you only pay around €15 for a racket strung at €30. This is more or less the same price as at a private stringer, with the only difference being that you have your racket strung on a licensed professional machine. If we were to operate under the conditions you mentioned, we would no longer be able to maintain our business. A small but excellent sports specialist for tennis and hockey. We received great advice! We were looking for tennis shoes in children's sizes... They only stock products they're convinced of themselves. That made choosing easy. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sport Thelen!

A few weeks ago, I called Sport Thelen to inquire about their tennis equipment. I was promised a good selection! Upon arriving at the store, I was very disappointed to find that the selection was very limited, or even nonexistent. The whole trip from Krefeld was for nothing! I cannot recommend Sport Thelen. I will continue to buy my equipment online.

The shop for hockey equipment (they also have tennis gear – we just don't need it 😊) in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. Always good service, never hectic, even when the shop was packed (before Covid) or when there were lots of people waiting outside (Covid). The wait is worth it, as the advice is still excellent and we've never left the shop without the right shoes, rackets, etc.

They have a large selection on Tennis and Hockey products and the employees were very friendly. I can recommend this shop and would come back any time.

Wow! It's really worth the trip from Cologne to the forbidden city! This shop has a fantastic selection of hockey equipment... Lots of the latest hockey sticks, shoes, bags, etc. And thanks again for the great advice! We'll be back!!!
