Super friendly service. I bought my bike years ago from Rad Zalfen in Brühl (my father's place). Now I'm having it serviced and repaired at Zalfen in Liblar. Everything went smoothly, great price. Highly recommended!

I dropped my bike off there because my rear wheel was flat. I was able to pick it up on Monday, but due to time constraints, I didn't get there until Tuesday, and the bike still wasn't ready. He quickly fixed it (I waited about 20 minutes). We then loaded it into the car and drove home. When we got home, I noticed that the rear brake was dragging. For the past three years, I've regularly brought adult and children's bikes here for minor repairs. I really like small, owner-operated shops. Unfortunately, I've been disappointed far too often. Except for one instance, the bike or a single tire was never ready by the agreed-upon date and time. They always seemed to start working on it only after I'd actually arrived at the shop. This has now reached its peak: I borrowed a bike from a friend and got a flat tire. I dropped it off and was told to come back the next day at 4 PM to pick it up. I arrived at 5 PM, and nothing had been done except for disassembling the bike. While they were at it, they damaged a connector on the light cable. Sure, these things happen, but the fact that the bare wires were twisted together and that they only tried to fix it with electrical tape after I asked about it was unacceptable. And then, when they used masking tape instead of electrical tape, I stopped the work, paid for the inner tube, and left. I don't think I'll be back. Too bad, Stefan Weber

I'm very optimistic, and getting upset takes real skill and courage! 😄 I'm actually a skater and over time I've built up good strength and endurance. Then I thought, why not use this stamina for nature and explore our world by bike? I started with tours in the rain, strong winds, and lasting until late at night, up to 20 km, later increasing to 100 km. Of course, the bike takes its toll from high speeds and weather conditions and gets damaged. As a novice, I accepted that the inner tube needed changing. But then I found Mr. Zalfen. I got his advice, and luckily we have a bike shop nearby! I invested a lot of money in Zalfen without success! - He changed my gears, adjusting the 7-speed shifter so that only 3 gears work for me. - He also gave me a new twist grip shifter, but it was used! - While these supposedly high-quality repairs were being done, he also broke two spokes (on an aluminum rim). These were new spokes from Amazon and not from him, because he sells used or broken goods! He was supposed to call me back, but I pointed this out several times, and he never contacted me. So I had to chase after him. Great! He even broke my chain link with pliers right in front of me and claimed he didn't know what it was. I stayed calm because I can understand why he might need to break something to gain new customers. I had planned to invest a lot because being an athlete is my passion. Investing with you is more of an investment with no return, more of a loss. Luckily, I photographed all my original Shimano parts so nothing would go missing! In short: poor service, dishonesty through unethical methods or deliberate deception, and damage to my bike. Seriously? I actually wanted to file a complaint, but whatever. The much worse thing is that he's lost me as a customer forever. I wanted to continue investing, but Google has plenty of offers. I'm better off doing it myself than at Zalfen's junkyard. I hope I can protect as many people as possible from this investment loss. Thanks for reading.
