Excellent bicycle team. Competent, fast, calm, and professional. I felt I was in good hands with my e-bike (inspection) and bike rack (two damaged lights due to impacts) for the towbar.

Müller Z – Unfortunately Disappointing I took my son's Woom 4 bicycle to Müller Z for repairs. I had previously discussed the work with a saleswoman in detail: the brake cable needed replacing because some wires had come loose and my son had injured himself on them. My wife brought the bicycle and clarified that everything had already been discussed with me. She spoke with a technician, not the saleswoman. The technician confirmed that this was noted – everything seemed clear. I wanted to buy a brake piston adapter for another bicycle at Müller Z to support the local bike shop. Unfortunately, the saleswoman was extremely unfriendly and made no attempt to help me, even though my son's bicycle was being repaired at the time. The technician didn't even bother to look at the bicycle, but simply pulled an adapter out of a box of loose parts – which turned out to be the wrong one. The saleswoman wanted to charge me for the adapter immediately, without giving me a chance to check if it was the right one. Luckily, I insisted on trying it out directly on the bike – that's how I saw it was the wrong one. I then wanted the correct adapter ordered because I rely on the bike. But instead of helping me, the saleswoman insisted I bring the bike back in two weeks. I clearly stated that I'd prefer to order the adapter immediately to avoid wasting time. The only response was the inappropriate comment that I would buy it online anyway – which made absolutely no sense, since I had explicitly said I wanted to buy it there. When I picked up the bike, I was in for another disappointment: Instead of replacing the brake cable, as clearly agreed, they only trued the front wheel and supposedly adjusted the rim brakes – even though the brakes were working perfectly. We'd never had any problems with the front wheel. I repeatedly and clearly stated what needed to be done. When I confronted the saleswoman about it, she couldn't blame me. When I told her that my wife had brought the bike in, she claimed my wife had said something different—even though she hadn't spoken to my wife at all; the technician had. The comment from one of the employees that he could "adjust the brakes to be worse" was completely unprofessional. That's no way to treat customers! I was supposed to pay €32.50—for what? I deliberately chose to support Müller Z, even though their prices are often higher than online. After this experience, however, I will never go there again. That's how you lose customers!

Dear Mr. Elezi,<br><br>Thank you for your detailed review.<br><br>Since we have a lead time of approximately three weeks for repairs, we kindly ask that you describe the problem or the desired repair again when dropping off your bicycle during the appointment process. It's understandable that our employees can't remember every conversation from the past few weeks, and it's also possible, as in this case, that a different employee receives the bicycle. If they only see that it concerns the brakes, confirm this, and don't elaborate further, we note that the brakes will be checked, and this will also be noted on your collection slip.<br><br>Of course, such a misunderstanding can happen, and we are glad to be made aware of it. However, we find it very unfortunate that this information was provided during collection and accompanied by accusations.<br><br>Our employee offered to reverse the unwanted setting, not to make it worse, and you agreed to this. Naturally, the employee did not completely reset the brakes to their previous setting, as the brakes are safety-relevant, and in our view, that would be negligent. That's why we refunded the adjustment fee; you didn't pay €32.50, but only €13 for truing the front wheel. Since the spokes were loose and there was a risk of breakage, we took the liberty of truing them without prior consultation, and we apologize for this.<br><br>Due to the high volume of work during the cycling season, it can happen that one of our technicians is heavily involved in customer repairs and doesn't have time to look at a bicycle immediately. Therefore, we offered you an appointment for the repair. The assumption that you purchased the parts online was based solely on the fact that we had selected parts for you a few weeks prior, which you had purchased online. Unfortunately, this is a problem that hurts small, local businesses like ours. Nevertheless, we apologize for our emotional reaction.<br><br>We find it very regrettable that we have to discuss this matter in this way, but we wish you all the best.

They were incredibly kind and just replaced a missing screw for my daughter's luggage rack, even though we stopped by spontaneously just before closing time. Friendly, competent, and helpful! We'll be back :)

I've known Müller Z for almost 20 years. The shop is a true institution. I've never ridden better bikes than those from Müller Z, both new and used; there's never been anything to complain about!

After inspecting the damage, Müller-Z agreed to repair it under warranty. I left the bike there. Shortly afterward, Müller-Z called and rejected the warranty claim over the phone. The reason given was not plausible. However, Müller-Z offered to repair my bike for an invoice. I picked up my bike, which I had purchased there, without having it repaired. The new repair shop fixed the damage and confirmed my initial impression. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this shop.

I dropped my bike off for service last night. In addition to the scheduled service, a few other things were replaced as agreed. I was able to pick up the bike this evening as agreed, despite the extended order. The check-in and pickup were quick. The staff were very friendly. I will have my next service done at the workshop again, even though I live over 14 kilometers away on the other side of the Rhine.

Fast and spontaneous help (without an appointment) with the brake adjustment – world-class. I immediately scheduled an appointment for another bike that urgently needed a minor repair. Thank you so much for the straightforward and friendly help – the employees at the 'competitor' here in Hürth could learn a thing or two from this.

Fantastic! I had a flat tire in Hürth, called, rolled my bike over, and 20 minutes later I was able to set off again. Amazing price. Great conversation. Outstanding.
