My husband wanted to buy a screw for his bicycle today, but of course, they didn't have one. What he then witnessed was the absolute pinnacle of rudeness he'd ever experienced. An elderly lady (86 years old) stood in front of the shop crying. Her bicycle had a flat front tire. As a former resident of Büttgen, unfortunately currently living in a nursing home in Kaarst, she had remembered the bicycle shop and pushed it there from Kaarst. All she got were two addresses, one in Willich. My husband put the poor, desperate woman and her bicycle into the car, brought them to our house, and with the help of a kind neighbor, they got the bike working again. The level of helpfulness leaves much to be desired. Birgit Heinzmann

Hello, I wanted to get my broken light repaired. But I was turned away with the explanation that my bicycle wasn't purchased there! Well, because I'm a newcomer. With that attitude, they're certainly not going to win any new customers. Zero customer service! I find that unacceptable, and my family and I definitely won't be buying a new bicycle there!

It's very unfortunate that only bicycles purchased there are repaired here. Even the replacement of a bicycle tube on the rear wheel was refused, much to our regret and incomprehension. Therefore, this shop is not an alternative for me to buy my new bike. It's a shame if you want to support local businesses.

Disappointing Service – No Help for Students in Need Today, I took my child's bike to the only remaining bike shop in Kaarst because the rear brake wasn't working – a real safety risk, especially for a student who rides it to school every day. Unfortunately, we were refused any assistance, arguing that the bike wasn't purchased from them. This attitude is completely incomprehensible to me. This isn't about a free repair, but rather a fundamental willingness to help a child in a dangerous situation. A bike shop shouldn't just sell products, but also take responsibility for road safety – especially in a city where there are few alternatives. Instead of customer service, I was met with rejection. That was my last visit there.

This is how you alienate regular customers. I wanted to bring our bikes in for inspection and repair, as I do every year, but I was turned away because they only repair bikes purchased there. I've had the pleasure of generating good revenue with my bikes over the past few years, thank you for that service. But what you're doing now is ridiculous. Well, if women's dresses and costume jewelry are generating more revenue, great. You used to be great, but unfortunately, your new concept is a disaster...

Because there are no more bike shops in Kaarst, I went to Radland and wanted them to help me adjust my brakes without an appointment. The young man in the shop politely asked me if I could help. Oh yes, please. Please adjust my new brakes. No problem, and they adjusted them immediately. I tipped the cashier, and everything was fine. Thanks for that. Christian Kühner from Kaarst

I've now found my second e-bike as a company bike at Kirchhartz and, just like the first time, received excellent advice, super-fast processing and delivery with comprehensive instruction. The inspection service is straightforward with detailed reports, and the staff are incredibly friendly, patient, and competent – what more could you want? Highly recommended!

My father and I each bought a bike from Kirchhartz and were completely satisfied with the on-site advice and service. Even when we had problems with the bike, we found Kirchhartz to be a very accommodating dealer who always knew how to offer a suitable solution. The employees were very friendly, and we felt well looked after in the store. We'll be happy to come back as soon as we need a bike or accessories again.

I've now bought my third bike there. I needed a reliable "second road bike" for the slightly cooler seasons. Ralf knows my needs and, of course, has a suitable bike in mind that he can recommend :-) My "fair-weather bike" is the Oltre Pro, and it's as if it were made for me. This bike is my sanctuary. So, it was only natural to stick with this model series. Since a "bad-weather bike" doesn't necessarily have to be in the Pro's price range, I chose the Oltre Comp with the 105 DI2. And, of course, Ralf was spot on with his recommendation. The Oltre Comp rides great. I can highly recommend Radsport Schumacher. Competent advice and first-class customer service are their top priority. The workshop is also top-notch! If there is ever a complaint, it is resolved quickly and easily. All employees are always very friendly and helpful. Whether it's the manager, salesperson, mechanic, or trainee.

I came into the shop completely clueless, wanting to buy an e-bike, and received exactly the advice I needed: truly competent, professional, and above all, incredibly friendly! I was completely satisfied from start to finish! Plus, the shop is conveniently located right in the heart of Büttgen, so it's easy to drop the bike off for a quick service. I'll definitely be back!
