This shop is truly something special, in a good way. Even upon entering, you're greeted by Emma, ​​wagging her tail and giving you a good sniff. And then, of course, there are the two Bücken brothers. They're among the few who still provide beginners like me, as well as more advanced archers, with detailed information about their craft before making their first purchase recommendation. Furthermore, unlike online purchases, you can test the equipment (bows, arrows, etc.) right there in the shop. I'm absolutely thrilled with this shop and, after my first visit and about two hours of expert advice, I bought a takedown recurve bow, arrows, a quiver, and an arm guard on my second visit today. I'm as proud as punch of my haul and look forward to shooting soon! :) Based on this experience, I can wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone. It definitely won't be my last visit. Keep up the good work! 👍

Hi I was there today and received excellent advice. I ended up buying a new bow and arrows right away. The staff in the store were friendly and helpful and always listened to my needs. Highly recommended.

My daughter cried for about five minutes in front of the store today (she's going through a tantrum phase). She's three years old, after all. The owner or an employee said they were going to complain and call the police. I know it has nothing to do with the store itself. But we're sport shooters ourselves and have friends who shop there. I'm not so sure anymore.

Bad advice!!! Bad service!!! Unfriendly, I remained friendly and then left!!! If I had described exactly what happened, everyone would understand my review!!! I didn't misbehave and didn't get kicked out, as stated in the response to my review!!! Anyone can write something in response that makes you look good again (to put it mildly)!!!

I was just about to write my lavishly laudatory review when I realized: I'm probably not the first! That says it all, really. But let's start from the beginning: I, too, first contacted Bogensport Bücken by phone because I had found the Bücken archery range and just wanted to ask if my 12-year-old son could use it. This led to a conversation about archery equipment in general, Kamp-Lintfort (where the shop is), Gelsenkirchen (where I'm from), child-rearing, worldview... Since I'd gathered from the conversation that you can only use the range with your own bow, and my son can't draw my bow yet, I thought some expert advice certainly wouldn't hurt. So, on a whim, we set off directly from Gelsenkirchen to Kamp Lintfort the next day. When we entered the shop, we seamlessly continued the conversation we'd started on the phone the day before. This was followed by a consultation about the initial equipment for my son. I've never experienced such advice in my life (and I've received advice on purchases many times). Why this bow with this draw power, why no sight yet, better a glove than a leather strap, quiver would be good... Everything was explained very well, not preachy. But the highlight is the store's own shooting range, where you don't just try out the bow, you also get archery training. Mr. Bücken (the younger one in this case) introduced my son to the art of archery in a very short time, and he did it with truly impressive instruction; any teacher could learn a thing or two from him. My son had a blast and was able to try out all his equipment before buying it! Of course, the whole thing took a while, and we were already well past business hours, but that didn't matter at all. Mr. Bücken continued in the same way until we had everything together, even after closing time. Long story short: we, of course, bought the entire initial equipment. Back home, we tried out our new equipment at our own "shooting range": it worked perfectly, everything was just right! My son only put his bow down for the next two hours to pull his arrows out of the target. I think this will be a new hobby for us. Thank you for the great (shopping) experience!

Aggressive, unfriendly, and totally incompetent owner and "salesman." I can only recommend that you go to a different store. Oh, and his dog snapped at my son a few times during the 5 minutes we were there. My son is 1.5 years old. Definitely not recommended.
