I went to Minto specifically for this store. When I arrived, I asked a sales assistant about something, and they immediately said, "I have no idea, you'll have to look it up online." Seriously? Businesses are going under, it feels like they're all going bankrupt, the cities are deserted, and people complain that they only shop online and don't go to stores anymore, but then you get an answer like that in a physical store. So it's no wonder people prefer to shop online when you refuse to help a customer in the store and just tell them to look it up online.

A very nice store, modern and even with a café (unfortunately only accessible with a customer account, which is at least free). The selection is limited and not typical of Decathlon – but the most important items are available. Furthermore, according to an employee, all items can be ordered for home delivery free of charge – which compensates for the small store size. A great addition to the Minto shopping center and Mönchengladbach.

I'm giving it three stars, though, because I actually really like Dekatlon, but I'm genuinely disappointed 😞 with the selection at the Minto shopping center in Mönchengladbach. This is precisely where a store like Dekatlon could differentiate itself from other shops by offering everything related to equestrian sports. That's exactly what's missing in Mönchengladbach: a shop where you can find equestrian equipment... that's how they could stand out, because I can buy sporting goods like shoes, swimwear, and football gear in other shops at Minto. It's a shame, Dekatlon... that would be a real sales hit for Mönchengladbach.

If this were my first visit to a Decathlon store, I wouldn't go back. The other stores better demonstrate what makes Decathlon special; unfortunately, I'll have to go further to Neuss or Hückelhoven.
